Such a great church and environment have been going for many years with my father Rickey Varner and rest of family this church will always have our heart it has become family to us❤️
Kevin Griffin is an outstanding, personable, outgoing, godly pastor. His sermons are timely, relevant, and Bible based, utilizing technology for understanding and effect. His understanding of sScripture is thorough, interwoven into his messages, not only helping the listener to better understand his points, but more importantly, Scripture as a whole!
I recently went here for the first time. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how nice everyone was. They have a great children's program and even a nursery for infants. I like that they aren't judgemental nor force their beliefs anyone rather they "show" how they believe by their actions. I've been in more churches than I can remember but I'm considering going back to this one. If you live close definitely go check it out. If you know someone that needs a good recovery program, there offer one of the best around.
We began to go to the Nazarene Church thanks to a friend that recommended it to us. We met the Music Minister and the head Pastor, two men of God for sure. Within a few weeks, I was running the sound system and my wife was in the choir. Then, we donated 3 computers systems since they only had an IBM Selectric typewriter and installed a complete network. I started playing piano a few weeks later. A few years later, we were involved in a Bible class dedicated to a few Latino immigrants, later, it grew to a class of over 50 and had to hire Latino Pastor to keep up and became the Latino Ministry. We also began a Latino music Ministry with the guys out of my secular band.... the Ministry is now over 500 members and growing.
The work they do for Operation Christmas Child each year is amazing and a real blessing. It is so organized and runs efficiently. Think about volunteering. You will be blessed.
