Happyland Pre-School

We went on several preschool tours and it all felt so overwhelming... but we are so happy with our choice. The overarching themes of peace and inclusion at Happyland are giving our child an educational foundation that starts with support, acceptance, and compassion. The teachers are all amazing and I truly enjoy every single other parent/Happyland family I've met. The school has been around for more than 80 years and we've encountered countless adults in the area who said they went to Happyland as kids and STILL have fond memories. We are so HAPPY to be part of this community.

Happyland is truly a gem in a sea of preschools! It can be daunting to find a place that fits both the needs of your kiddo and your family, but Happyland hits all the marks for us. My son eagerly heads to school in the morning and comes home at night energized and full of stories about his time with friends and teachers and things he learned throughout the day. The school themes of promoting hope, peace, inclusion and respect filter into all activities and the school balances learning, play and Kinder-readiness extremely well. The teachers are wise and wonderful and the family community that the school fosters is so special. We’ll remember our time at Happyland forever!

We were referred to Happyland by neighbors and we couldn't be happier that we found such a wonderful preschool for our children. Our oldest started Happyland before the pandemic. It has always been a loving and supportive environment, where they try to not only nurture the child but they also try to create a community for the whole family. The Happyland staff navigated the pandemic with grace providing online support in such a trying time. Now that we are back as a community, they continue to provide so much care and enrichment for the children. The teachers share updates via Google classroom and personal text messages. Additionally in person, at pickup the teachers always have individual stories to share of what your child did that day. Overall, we love being part of the Happyland community and feel they have provided a strong foundation for all of our children.

I love everything about Happyland! The school culture is about peace and love and helping the children be good humans in the world. It is celebrated that when a child helps or cares, they get a kindness heart. My son received one when he saw a girl fall and ran to the teacher to get her help. They get to put their kindness heart up on the wall for all to see. Director Aly and the teachers make learning so much fun. My son has told me about how they are going on imaginary trips around the world and about the heroes of the world such as Nelson Mandela and Dolores Huerta. I love the community of parents at the school. Everyone wants to help with the school and participate in the FUNdraising events. I love to hear my son talk about his day at school and hear about all the ways that this school encourages friendship and acceptance and a celebration of differences.

This has been an incredible launch pad for my daughter. The relationship that our family has cultivated with some of the students and their families are beyond words. The school operates under the leadership of Aly who is thoughtful, caring and engaging with the kids. All the teachers are well educated and trained. The curriculum has good balance between learning time and playtime. Helps with kids mental and physical development. We are so thankful to be part of this family.
