What Parents Say
Happy Hearts Early Learning Center has received highly polarized reviews. Positive reviews praise recent management changes, cleanliness, nutritious meals, and knowledgeable staff with affordable pricing. However, negative reviews raise serious safety and supervision concerns, including inadequate facility security, children left unattended, unexplained injuries, harsh treatment by staff, and high teacher turnover.
Do yourself a favor & don't bring your children here . My daughter ( 3 ) had been attending here for a couple months now . Everything was good until this past month. On 2 different occasions, my daughter came home with bruises on her face . The first time I could not prove it was there due to my daughter telling me she did not know what happened . Then, yesterday 6/13 ; my daughter was picked up by her father when the daycare began to tell him that she " came in with this bruise " when she did NOT . They gave the father a incident report that stated she " fell from the monkey bars " but is saying that she came in with the bruise ! The bruise is the size of a apricot .. NOT A SMALL BRUISE , & is on the SIDE of her face under her temple to her eye ! Their story changed 3 different times and was not able to tell me what happened to my baby ! This place is HORRIBLE & they need better STAFFING ! They will hire just ANYBODY , and does NOT supervise the children ! DO NOT GO HERE !
Since the switch in management in the last several months, this facility is very clean, caring, and respectful. The director, Julia, is very nice, and has a lot of experience in education. The teachers are all very knowledgeable with children, and genuinely want to make a difference in their lives. Breakfasts, snacks, and lunches are all very nutritious, and there’s multiple playgrounds, and four primary classrooms. The classrooms are each equipped with various developmentally appropriate centers, toys, and activities for gross/fine motor skills. Each class I have been in has a weekly/daily schedule, objectives and lesson plans for each week. The teachers always plan fun art activities, and seem to have creative approaches to learning. I have professionally worked as an educator at other facilities, and this one in particular is also very affordable.
HORRIBLE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. New teachers every month and they will hire just about ANYONE. The director has a anger problem and screams at the children. This woman pins down children in highchairs and yanks them around and this is who is in charge. The toys are outdated and gross. Kids are left unintended often and they don't change diapers. This place needs to be shutdown.
Do you not take your child here! The first day i ever went to pick up my son. I walked through the front little white fence. It has no latch to secure it, next no locked door as i enter the daycare! Any kid could push these open. im standing there in the front room with no one in sight for easily 7-10 minutes within that time i called the place and got no answer! Finally 3 little girls come walking out of the side room with the "teacher" who looks like she just woke up from a nap! I tell her im here to pick up my son. She proceeds to go into another room where the boys are sleeping unattended and picks up my son. She hands him to me. I ask if i need to sign him out or anything and she says nope your good! Ive never been to this place prior! The 2nd time i go to pick him up. I meet another "teacher" that I've never seen before! She hands me my son out of the same unattended room as the first day. She also doesnt have me sign anything out or ask for any ID! Today when i went there! Finally the door was locked! No buzzer to call in so i knock on the glass nothing! I over hear the teacher screaming at a child "go lay down"! Then I hear her scream even louder at the top of her lungs at this child! Another dad walks up to the front about this time! I told him the teacher is screaming at the children in there! He tells me his child was bitten 3 times last week there without any kind of action taken by the daycare! The teacher unlocks the door and lets us in! I ask which teacher was screaming at this child! She said she did and was told that it was highly unacceptable! Please dont take your children here! This kind of anger from this woman could turn into physical violence for your child!
Everything seemed great at first during the tour of the school until I noticed everyone that worked there in one room while all the children were sleeping in the other room not being watched and the 1 year olds were completely left alone!!!! Would not send my children here
