0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND, only 1 staff member I’ve encountered was actually happy and smiling to see the kids & talked about them with positive feedback. They always have stuck up faces , aids are outside with kids of all ages letting them run around & play together while they gossip and cuss about their personal lives along the gate. My 3 year old son is potty training but has no accidents unless we go too long without changing him and he was sent home his first day for soiling 5 outfits in less than 8 hours. My 1 & 2 your old came home with poopy diapers . And they got sent home for being 1 MINUTE late and the teacher wanted to go home the same teacher who didn’t take my son to the bathroom . I feel like she is racist and didn’t like caring for my son because apparently he’s the only one in her classroom if she gets to go home if he’s late.
We’ve had our experience with daycares and this is by far my 2 year old favorite place. He loves the staff and he loves his friends. He’s been here about 8 months and has loved it since day 1. Only thing I don’t like is their diaper changing policy. They change his diaper every single hour. He’s going through 7-8 diapers in a 9 hour shift. On my off days he uses about 4 diapers per 24 hours. Diapers come in a pack of about 25 , to keep up with daycare I have to buy 3 packs of diapers per week in stead of one or two. I’m a low income single mom of five, every penny adds up. Other than that I love how happy he is when I drop him off. It’s always clean , I see workers cleaning, staff always smiling and welcoming . Wish they could stay open later but overall our favorite daycare . Will be here for another 2.5 years at least.
My experience with Happy Elephant has been over the past 10 years. My child started attending vat 8weeks old and is now going on 11. I know my child is safe there. The staff, as it has changed over the years, has always listened to any concerns that I may have. If necessary, they have made adjustments to eliminate my concerns. Overall, I have been satisfied with Happy Elephant. They know me and my child. My child knows that she can go to any one of the staff members if she has any needs or concerns, as well as, if she needs to contact me and they will help her. I am so thankful and grateful that Miss. Allie decided to stay. There are some really great gals there that take care of my child. I am grateful for them.
My kids have been attending happy elephant for a couple months now and I can say the lead teacher in the infant room is great. All of my requests was done correctly she it definitely a good worker. Also, the office staff are very professional and nice. Lastly the building is very spacious and well organized I love the set up.
My son has been going there since he was 9 months old. He's 3 now. I agree that things got kinda rough for a second when a director was put in place that didn't know the job well. But everyone else has been lovely. Some of the old girls that left have come back since they got a new director. The new director was already a long time care worker in the building. They've always shown us nothing but love. They've always been very understanding as well. I'll be sad to leave when my son goes into kindergarten.
