We’ve given birth at Obici three times in the last four years, and our most recent experience was once again a positive one. The absolute highlight of our stays has always been the nursing staff. Across all three deliveries, the nurses have been wonderful—consistently chipper, incredibly kind, and genuinely helpful. They make the recovery process so much easier with their attentive care and supportive attitudes. Regarding the doctors, the experience has been a bit more mixed. While we are ultimately thankful for their care and concern, we did feel that you sometimes have to really push to be heard and advocate for your preferences. Overall, we are grateful for the team at Obici for helping us bring our little ones into the world safely. If you’re looking for a labor and delivery unit with a top-tier nursing team, this is a great place to be.
Went in for a stress test and these 3 ladies took the stress out of the test. Katie Miron, echo tech, Kim Katuba, RN, and Toni Willoughby, echo tech are shining stars. They possess the perfect combination of professionalism, humanity and comedy. I was guided through the process with ease and compassion, as they explained every step of the way. These ladies deserve all of the kudos they can receive as they are excellent at what they do. Thank you so much for your time and care..you guys are rock stars!!
From the Doctor to the nursing staff to the food services to the cleaning services every one was kind courteous and patient with me. Dr. Nawaz & Dr. Stopyra (I think that is how you spell her name) Cherise, Aericka, Becca, Heather, Mark were all just too kind. I wasn’t happy about being admitted because I felt the ER doctor was not listening to me when I was telling her what I needed she judged me off back. I went to obici and was treated, not judged and listened to with my concerns. It was a complete 180 when I entered the hospital to stay. My family while visiting me were pleased and could not stop talking about how awesome the team was. Maybe it’s the southern hospital in the area. Either way I would recommend this place to anyone!
My experience was good. The Doctors and staff kept me aware of each step of many series of events. I was treated of upmost respect. I am slowly getting back to my normal self. I would like to thank everyone involved in my hospital exprience.
Holloween spent in the er at Belle Harbor to transfer to Obici. From Dr Welch contacting The er and Dr Langston. I was quickly diagnosed and prepped for emergency appendectomy. As all holidays the er was packed. The nursing staff the er Dr and the staff who welled me up to surgery floor. All professional, caring and made me feel comfortable. The nurses on my case were helpful and communication was exemplary. Dr Langston came in explained the procedure as well as the non surgical options. From the er to surgery to post surgery. The team of drs nurses and staff were amazing. An overnight stay and discharge the next afternoon. I feel confident in a quick recovery. Thank you Sentara
