Only thing they care about is your money, not your kids. They are a state funded school, receiving a supply a healthy food for the kids lunches, and even with maximum state benefits that YOU can receive, you're still paying over $200 a week out of pocket. You are REQUIRED to raise $200 a year in fundraising, or pay it if you can't raise it. If there is a blizzard warning, they will not cancel, and if you go to work and get stuck in that, you're still being charged over $600 because they closed early and you couldn't make it to them for another 3 hours or so. This daycare is an outright SCAM.

I have been super happy with the care for my granddaughter! I love the photos each day and all of the learning she is doing. There are so many fun activities each with an educational component which is exceptional! :) A huge blessing!!

Unfortunately my experience with GMCC - Claremont was disappointing, but I'm not here to discredit anyone that's had a good experience. My 15m's enrollment with GMCC was only a few weeks because I couldn’t accept their lack of/way of communication. I found it troubling that they failed to mention parents are required to volunteer or raise $200 per year as a term of enrollment. I found this out through the parent handbook. This is not a small/standard requirement, and should be discussed directly with an enrolling family. There is a list of (not inexpensive) things our daughter needed to have AT school. I sent everything as requested, and then some, and was dismayed when many of the things I sent for my daughter were sent back without discussion. We requested (as per our pediatrician) that they let us know how much milk per day our daughter had. We were only ever informed twice. One evening when picking her up I forgot to bring her milk and asked if it would be possible if they could provide 3oz for our ride home. They indicated it was no problem at all, but then I arrived home and had a message saying I needed to bring in milk for her because they can't provide "that much" milk. I have NO problem with that, but the fact that no one spoke to me in person when I picked her up and instead messaged me through their app is ridiculous. The app has the potential to be amazing, if utilized properly by them - which I felt it was not. There was some ongoing raffle, and these notifications were daily or more. I asked to opt out and was told there was no way. I then requested that I get a phone call for any important info about my daughter as I couldn't keep dropping what I was doing to check these messages to find out they were just spam. I was told "This is our only form of communication. We put illness notifications on here, minor injuries that happen, as well as many other things." I would have to sift through spam to find relevant/important information. I cannot fathom how you can refuse a parents request for communication by phone for important things (however, I sent a message to them at noon today, and by 4pm still had no response - although it only took them 30 minutes to shut me down in my first message and say they only communicate through the app). These communication issues, in addition to other things I felt were red flags, made me decide to withdraw my daughter. I will say communication was good on her very first day - however we were asked to pick her up early because she was having a tough day. It did make me question how they comfort kids, because she's not a difficult child. A bottle of milk, a snack, singing a song or reading a book - any of these things would have helped her. it just seems like there wasn't a lot of effort put into comforting her. We understand the adjustment period, but it was surprising that, even after she had a nap and they said she was doing well, that they still wanted us to pick her up early. I question if it was for her, or them. We called GMCC and spoke with Christy, the director, to let her know of our decision. The response was "um, okay...... well you still have to give a two weeks notice and pay for 2 more weeks." We were already aware of this and didn’t argue. The call lasted exactly 1 minute 20 seconds. She didn't care to ask why we made that decision or get any kind of information. She only wanted to make sure we knew we still had to pay. This was when I was positive that withdrawing her was the right decision. Leaving your child in the care of strangers is terrifying, and we found that this was truly not a good place for our 15 month old, especially where she can't talk to us and give us details about her day. This is why I chose to write this review - for any other parent struggling to find a daycare and knowing if they have the right one. I don't discredit anyone's positive experience and hope this is a one-off situation with them. But if another parent had experienced this, I'd want to know to help make an informed decision about my child's care.
