I loveee A BO PEEP💕💕💕This is 100% the best school i have gone to in my 14 years of life. The staff is great, you can actually take breaks and write down your feelings when you need, there’s a lot of people to talk to if your struggling, and there’s programs to go to and i find them very enjoyable! My favorite program is farm. Its my favorite because of BO PEEP🐑💗
Green Chimnys is a an innovative program incorporating academic, behavioral and emotional support in a comprehensive learning environment to help each child achieve new skills and confidence, and return to their home school district with the best chance of success. I have a close friend who as a child was greatly helped by being at Green Chimnys. Once a year my friend and I enjoy driving up to Green Chimnys, from NYC, to walk the campus and see the animals and birds on the farm they keep. Once we are done walking around looking at the animals we continue our trip by stopping at a diner or other restaurant and cap off our trip eating ice cream at the Red Rooster. We have done this over the past several years; it is a good day trip. There is no charge for walking around the campus to look at the animals.
I had a lovely time visiting the school. I met some fascinating animals and lovely people and learned a lot about the importance of animal-assisted education
Edit : To be honest this place is the best you are going to get for a Residential treatment center. Its great if you love being outdoors. They have an amazing farm and a bunch of different programs. I've been going here for over a year now. When I first got here things were great. It can be challenging to get use to the program. Every once and a while you will see staff get tough on the kids here. Its nothing crazy though , normally its when kids act out of line. Its hard to see staff drop like flies. This place has an amazing support team to reach out to when in need. In dorm it is harder to work on yourself when there are other people struggling with you. Finding someone to open up to and talk through your thoughts and issues. I am glad that I had the opportunity to get better and make positive changes and help other kids out as well. The staff are there for you. It's mainly about finding the right ones.
This place dose nothing but leave kids with ptsd from either being abused negligented or witness abused and neglected never send your kids there i was a student there when in high-school I saw kids being knock to the ground just for being afraid of the peckcos that run around petting a animal while waiting for there class and I saw people have broken bones and being to scared to say how it happened and from the reviews I just read they never stopped hurting kids im 24 now I still cant be in a school environment without freezing or panicking so much when I was a bus monitor I had panic attack when I saw a few monitor dismissed a kids worrying about there sibling I cant stress this enough this school needs to be shut down
