My grand babies have been in this day care for a couple of years. They have a new manager that cares and is implementing change that the kids enjoy. They now do crafts and activities and have parties the kids love. Communication as well as consistecy have improved a lot. This staff makes us feel like our children are family to them I am so much happier now.
They never respond to emails or answer phone calls and when they finally did, the staff was rude and im pretty sure she was making up numbers when I asked for the rates. How do i know that? Because it doesn’t take a scientist to know when someone sounds unsure and talking BS. If the staff are this rude just by getting their information, i would think twice letting these type of people around my kids.
Was a great experience in the beginning of our run. Turned out a disaster after being short staffed, no heat in December for a month and no space heaters but owners drive luxury vehicles and put money in to expand unit. Owners can be very condescending and rude. The wife cursed me out in parking lot after dismissing my daughter from their care without notice. (She assumed I called and filed a complaint about staffing ratios in which I did not) my daughter has never been sent home or told to stay home for behaviors. Staff was overworked and underpaid without many breaks. One staff member decided to quit and was told she couldn’t until end of week which left her crying all day and not knowing what to do. Another staff member quit after being shoved and yelled at to get in the owners office after making a remark along the lines of… this is ridiculous (bc they were so short staff and owner just sat in office without helping). Just look up reports on va childcare registry and violations that will line up with this review.
I was hesitant to write this review but this should be addressed immediately. Instead of "Great things" the company should be named "Sketchy, unprofessional, rude things Learning Center" It pains me to know that I had a family member treated so poorly from the owners here. I pray that you guys take the constructive criticism and learn from it going forward. Hire individuals who actually love to do their job instead of hiring unreliable and unprofessional people who do not care about the well being of our children, our community, and our peace of mind as parents in need of childcare. Do better, please... for the community's sake.
My children have been going there for a year now. Any issue they have always worked out and talked to me. They even have taken time when my child had behavioral issues to help me out. And if I ever needed something they were there to help me as long as I communicated to them. Really great people. I truly thank them for the care they give.
