Great Foundations Montessori

We are incredibly happy and thankful to Great Foundations Montessori – Woodbury for the wonderful care and education they provide to our son. We would especially like to thank Ms. Patty and Ms. Maria for their kindness, patience, and dedication. They truly care about my son’s daily activities, health, personal hygiene, and education. Ms. Patty always keeps a close eye on him and makes sure he feels safe, supported, and encouraged every day. We are also deeply grateful to Ms. Laure in the administrative office. My son is 3 years old and was still struggling with potty training when he started school. Ms. Laure carefully coordinated with the teachers and worked closely with us and the school team to support him. With her help and care, my son made great progress very quickly, which meant so much to our family. The school environment is warm and joyful. The class celebrates birthdays and Christmas, and the children absolutely love dressing up and receiving Christmas presents from the school. These thoughtful activities create wonderful memories for the kids. Since attending GFM-Woodbury, my son has learned so many songs and stories. He often sings at home and proudly shares the stories he learned with his sister, which brings so much happiness to our family. We are truly thankful for the love, patience, and professionalism of the entire team at Great Foundations Montessori – Woodbury. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a caring and nurturing preschool environment.

Our son has been at this Montessori school for almost two years, and we truly couldn't be happier. He started in the toddler room and is now in the primary class, and the transition was so smooth thanks to the caring and attentive teachers and staff. Ms. Han and Ms. Bianca have made such a difference in our son's life. They genuinely care about his growth, both academically and emotionally, and we feel completely at ease dropping him off each day. The best feeling as a parent is watching your child run into the classroom excited, not even looking back. He talks about his teachers at home all the time, which says everything. Assistant Director Ms. Laure is also such a bright light at the school. She's always there at drop-off and pick-up with the warmest smile, greeting families and somehow knowing every child by name. She's incredibly kind, helpful, and truly sets the tone for such a welcoming environment. We feel so grateful to be part of this school community. The love, care, and dedication from the staff are obvious every single day, and it means the world to our family.

My son has been attending Great Foundations Woodbury for almost 1.5 years, and I’ve been impressed with how much my son has developed academically and socially. The biggest change was when he entered Ms. Viji’s and Ms. Tina’s class. At just 3.5 years old, he knew had to write his numbers in sequence up to 100 and his alphabet. He just turned 4 and is now learning how to read, and knows how to do basic arithmetic. He also has a great group of friends and looks forward to school everyday. We will be sending our daughter here soon as well.

We love having our children attend GFM- Woodbury. Our oldest child, who is now in pre-Kindergarten in the public school system, has been prepared extremely well by her teachers at GFM. She knows how to read and write at the first grade level. My two younger children are currently attending and we are so grateful for the guidance and care from the teachers Ms. Patty, Ms. Maria, Ms. Viji and Ms. Tina. Ms. Laure greets all with a smile everyday and gives a calming presence for everyone. Meals and snacks are done in-house which we like because it saves our busy family a lot of time. We don't have to worry about our kids going hungry because GFM takes care of it; everything is healthy and nutritionally balanced. The facilities are clean and all staff are professional, kind and at the top of their game. We are fortunate to have found a Montessori school with exceptional staff who create a safe and kind environment for our children to grow and evolve.

My four-year-old son has been attending Great Foundations Montessori for a year and a half, and I am so happy to see how much he has grown. As an immigrant family, we primarily speak Chinese at home. When my son started here at 2.5 years old, he didn't speak any English. Thanks to Miss Patty’s gentle guidance, he quickly overcame his fear of going to school. Later, after joining Miss Viji and Miss Tina’s class, his progress has been remarkable—from potty training and English communication to learning numbers and math. We are so grateful for the teachers' patience and dedication. Thank you for everything!
