Really good food pantry, every Thursday morning. The volunteers at this one are always incredibly kind, sincere and trying to help in whatever ways they're able.
Came for their pumpkin patch and it was set up so cute. Lots of pumpkins, which was surprising because we went just a couple of days before halloween. they had photo ops set up that were so cute. and everything was spread out enough that we were still able to social distance properly.
This church provides food and clothing for those in need. Staff is very kind, nice and very uplifting.
We had heard great things about this preschool program, so we enrolled our youngest, and he had never been in a school setting. On the first day, we had a call by 9:30 saying they needed us to come get him, that he didn’t do well transitioning from activity to activity. They expressed that he had not been crying, nor aggressive, just simply didn’t follow instructions so it was imposing on the classroom flow. We spent the whole first week trying their methods of only bringing him at certain times (VPK is only a 3 hour program in total) and ultimately we were told it wasn’t a good fit for him. Reasons were like “he tried to walk into the hallway when the classroom door was left open, he didn’t sit through the entire circle time, he didn’t want to leave the playground… Again, he isn’t a crier, aggressive, or unkind in any way. He loves other kids. He had issues sitting still so we decided to work with him at home to get him ready to try again this coming fall. When we attempted to re-enroll, the director Patty said she wasn’t sure he should come back, but maybe just try public school. She made a comment that he was better in the 2 year old room rather than the 4 year old room. Our son has a very minor, completely teachable disability (not intellectual but other) and she wasn’t interested in having him in class. This is a Christian school, backed by a church, and I am certain Jesus wouldn’t have turned a child away due to any level of disability. I am saddened to see another example of a business not following the laws when it comes to inclusion. I don’t recommend this business after seeing how they handled my son with hardened hearts, and closed-mindedness.
Went to the pumpkin patch and had a wonderful time with my wife and two boys! Beautiful presentation, prices are perfect, and the staff was a delight! Would recommend to anyone and definitely going back again next year!
