I received a call from their location on Jan 9th at almost end of day around 2:40pm stating I have an orientation with them on Monday morning . First mistake is scheduling an orientation the weekend before the Monday as if I am free when I already told SNAP that I was laid off during maternity leave and have a 3 month old at home with no child care and I am not eligible for a childcare voucher as of yet and my son was placed on a waitlist. Where am I supposed to bring my child during an orientation I find out about one business day prior to the scheduled date. The lady then told me if I don’t come it will discontinue my SNAP as if I can’t reschedule or do this virtually . I have her my email on Friday before 5:30pm and I have yet to receive a Zoom link for this said orientation that is mandatory ! I have called back the number multiple times and also left a voicemail that Friday still No link in my email. Now I will have to take my sick 3 month old to an office filled with other people so I am not listed as a No show. Bad business already. I actually don’t need the help looking for a job but I get this is protocol

You already feel like a complete failure. You take the assemenst test.i haven't been in a classroom room since highschool. You test extremely poor. Everyone looks at you like a loser . All this because of snap benefits. This place is very disorganized.

The only upside to this program I would say is the Virtual Work Readiness segment. Although I knew many aspects of the course which is basically designed to prepare a client with the mindset and soft skills to search for jobs which match their skills, properly handle themselves on interviews, and overall take inventory of oneself and their objectives it was great to brush up and renew some learning. Plus the instructor was great. The definite downside about this program is that it's not designed for people who have more skills than entry level, and don't have a history or interest in working in the human services industry which is mainly the decent paying jobs available through this program. With the high percentage of immigrants who come through the NYC social service system and labor programs like this I see these services as more geared toward those who don't have a long work history in the U.S. Or young people just getting out of high school and going for their first or second job. The third population would be returning citizens who are just coming back into society and have been away from the workforce and need to restart. The majority of job opportunities are around $16.50 and in ware house, security, food service and other essential work categories. After the Virtual Work Readiness segment a client is given a job coach. Mind you these job coaches earn a commission when they employ someone, and so unless an individual is adamant about looking out for their own best interests they're trying to get them lined up with the $16-$18 opportunities because it's not like there's much better outside of the human services field. I don't want to be disrespectful in stating the account managers do a mediocre job in the aspect of obtaining decent job opportunities. When I expressed my work experience and my unwillingness to take just take anything to my job coach she told me that I should be grateful that people like her are around. Lol At that point I knew I wasn't going to be working with her, taking part in the program or dealing with the nonsense. I've recently been doing political canvassing work and taking contracts $20 plus up to $30 an hour. Let's end the review on that note. I plan to run for NYS House of Representative in 2028. I remember when one used to just go to Department of Labor and work through them, now all of these non profits have found a way into the system, and the services are mediocre. Illegal immigration crackdown and Labor reform go hand in hand. Many of these agencies need their contracts pulled, and others need to be funded on a merit basis. Right now they're just counting signatures and sign up sheets as if this determines the level of services being provided. These systems need to be fixed. #theroneshellmanmediareviews #nycreviews #laboragencyreviews #nyc

IT’S BEEN ALMOST 2 YEARS SINCE I COMPLETED THE STERILE PROCESSING TECH PROGRAM AND I NEVER RECEIVED MY CERTIFICATE ❗️❗️❗️❗️I WAS WORKING AT THE TIME OF ATTENDANCE AND IT WAS HARD TO TAKE TIME OFF FOR INTERNSHIP & GO TO GRADUATION (I missed). TO MY KNOWLEDGE THE MEDICAL PROGRAMS ARE NO LONGER GIVEN AT THIS LOCATION AND I HAVE EMAIL, CALL, NUMEROUS NUMBERS WHICH I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WILL CHECK ON IT AND GET BACK TO ME THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO….I RECENTLY REACHED OUT TO A LADY WHO I WAS COMMUNICATING WITH AND LITERALLY NOTHING…I’M UPSET BECAUSE I WASTE MY TIME, ATTENDING CLASS FOR 4-5 WEEKS, STUDYING, TAKING EXAMS ONLY TO GET SCREWED IN THE END!! MY BENEFITS WAS USED AS WELL!! I’M TAKING LEGAL ACTIONS!!!!

Have so much to say about this place( Jamaica Queens 90-25) and never know where to begin wish there was justice for how disgusting this manager and assistant manager were . Experts at building fear , making you feel worthless , intimidated . The only motivation to coming to that place everyday was simply helping clients and the Team of coworkers who were all very sweet . My mental health was never cared for they made it worse . It’s like they knew what you were going through and they wanted to affect that area in you even more .
