What Parents Say
Good Shepherd Lutheran Early Childhood Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents who praise the caring, experienced staff, clean facilities, and well-rounded curriculum. Most parents report their children thrived academically, socially, and emotionally during their time there. One parent reported a negative experience with discipline handling and felt the school was unprofessional in dismissing their child.
We spent a year and a half at the school. It was clean, well organized and the teachers were all so loving, fun and creative. My child had a wonderful experience and still talks about her Good Shepherd friends and teachers. Daily lesson plans included age appropriate academia, art, free and structured play, special theme days, and foundational Christian briefs. The school hours were helpful for working families. 100% recommend.
I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Good Shepard. Our son started there at just 1.5 years old and stayed until we started public TK. Throughout his time there, the teachers poured so much into him. It’s obvious how much they care about each child and how hard they work to ensure their success and safety. I 100% credit them for potty training our son! He grew so much in his time there, not just academically, but socially and emotionally. We love Good Shepherd!
I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Good Shepherd Early Childhood Center. Our son has been there for nearly three years and our daughter has been there for the last several months. Good Shepherd truly feels like a community. All of the teachers know all of the kids, parents, and other adults in their lives. The teachers are all approachable and kind and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure all of the unique needs of each child are met in the best way. They are all collaborative with the parents on difficult days and always try and understand the "why" behind big emotions that little ones experience before jumping to time away from the group. The tenure of the teachers is also impressive, with very little turnover in the teachers. You can tell that Miss Jasmin and the team truly care about each other and the success of the school. The class sizes are small and well-staffed, which did not seem to be the case in several other pre-schools we had toured prior to GS, especially at the very reasonable monthly tuition rate and hours of operation. The activities and lessons are endless and always in a rotation to keep little minds from getting bored or overwhelmed. From trunk-or-treating, to in school farmers markets, endless crafts, sensory activities, water days, and more... Both of our kids are always thrilled to tell us about their days during pick up from school. The school feels secure and the staff are diligent in making sure the gate is locked at all times. I love that they regularly practice their safety drills, and our kids talk about how safe they feel at school with confidence. Our four-year-old is wise beyond his years, and we contribute so much of this to GSECC. Our two-year-old has had some delayed development, but she has grown leaps and bounds since starting her preschool journey here. We are so thankful for all that Good Shepherd has done for our family over the years. You will absolutely be making the correct decision in sending your child here.
My 2 year old son really enjoyed going here for daycare. The outdoor play area is one of the best around and very safe. The teachers are kind and nurturing.
Our child attended this school for two years and we were amazed at how much he learned and grew. He made great friends and even a year later, he still asks us to visit his teachers. It really takes a special personality and level of patience to be a teacher at an early childhood center or pre-school and Ms. Jasmine makes sure that she hires great teachers that have backgrounds in early childhood education. It was such a relief knowing our child was being cared for and taught while we were working.
