We had an unexpected trip to the hospital when my daughter accidentally cut herself carving a pumpkin. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel cared for. The nurse who treated her was incredibly patient and went out of his way to cheer up my little girl, turning a scary situation into something manageable. Multiple team members also came by to check on us, which made us feel supported and reassured. We were in and out much quicker than I anticipated, and the whole experience left me feeling grateful for their professionalism and kindness. Even in an emergency, they made us feel at ease.
We took my daughter in after a fall she had at school to rule out a fracture. Triaged quickly and sent to a room. The XR team was the first to come in for imaging. Then registration to take our insurance information (no nurse or provider had come in at this point yet). As registration was in a nurse came in for her assessment and was kind, told is it would be 45 minutes before the XR "resulted". About an hour later the provider comes in and said there is no fracture but recommends follow up and re-imaging with primary if pain continues over the next week (this is standard guideline since soft tissue swelling can sometimes hide small fractures). She BARELY assessed my child's arm (felt her radial and ulnar pulses and had her wiggle her fingers). Then says the nurse will come back in with a sling and discharge instructions. A different nurse returns with sling and discharge instructions. On the discharge instructions it says we need to follow up with ortho so I asked for clarification since we were told there was no fracture. The nurse tells us that they basically refer everyone. This felt like a huge waste of resources and did not align well with how I know other emergency departments to function. Come to find out after asking a few friends who know more about GS emergency, they don't have a radiologist on after 5 PM to read imaging so if anything is questionable at all they refer out. This information was never explained to us by our team, in fact I asked questions that would have been the appropriate time to explain this and it now feels like they are trying to hide this information with their lack of answers. This is a huge education part that could drastically impact patient outcomes.
If I could give six stars, I absolutely would. This was hands-down one of the best hospital experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you arrive, everything just works. The hospital is incredibly easy to find, right off the highway, with zero traffic stress and ample parking—a small thing that makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with medical care. The check-in process was shockingly efficient: smooth, fast, and genuinely pleasant. No confusion, no frustration—just kind, professional people who clearly know what they’re doing. The nurses, doctors, and entire staff are truly exceptional. Friendly, attentive, compassionate, and patient-focused in every interaction. You never feel rushed or dismissed—only cared for. It’s clear this is a culture thing, not just a few standout individuals. Even the cafeteria deserves praise—fresh, delicious food that’s reasonably priced and consistently good. That alone says a lot about how well this place is run. I came here specifically for a Histotripsy procedure, and I cannot recommend Dr. Burns and his entire team highly enough. World-class care, outstanding communication, and absolute confidence in what they do. I felt informed, supported, and in the best possible hands at every step. Amazing facility. Amazing people. This hospital sets the bar for what healthcare should feel like. Highly, highly recommended.
Dr Elliot is extremely unprofessional, rude, and arrogant. Not only did he misdiagnose me, but he belittled me and treated me like garbage. He saw me for a total of 2 minutes, I was having severe flank and abdominal pain and he said “it’s menopause and not an emergency you’ll have to live with it forever and you’re not getting pain meds.” Well if he had run any test he would have known it was KIDNEY STONES in my right kidney , bilateral renal pelviectasis and cystitis on my bladder. But he ran not one test, not blood, urine, or CT. NOTHING. He refused me care and pain management and accused me of lying about my pain. I advise anyone to go anywhere else in case of an emergency, run as far away as possible from this “Dr Elliot”. If you’re a female he will NOT believe you or your pain. I will be filing a complaint with the medical board. Poor excuse for a doctor and a hospital. Not to mention every nurse I had come in contact with was terrified to speak up to him, multiple nurses that night came into my room, whispering “you need to go to a different hospital and get a second opinion”.
This hospital is terrible, especially the staff in the ER. To be fair, some of the ladies working there are very kind, but when I brought my friend to the ER in the morning, we were treated extremely rudely even though I was nothing but polite. Honestly, it was ridiculous and uncalled for. Staff members like that shouldn’t be working there. I made sure to get their names: Maria and Elizabeth. If you ever go to this ER and come across them, I’d recommend asking for someone else to help you or not going there. I will definitely sending a complaint in towards the staff and Hopsital.
