What Parents Say
This facility is praised for friendly staff and clean facilities overall, with particular appreciation for childcare services during workouts. However, parents note concerns about outdated equipment, maintenance issues, and occasional operational challenges.
I’ve been going to the YMCA for years, since I was a kid and I’ve never seen it this bad. This has gotten completely out of hand. No matter what time I come, the parking lot is jam-packed. I’m not exaggerating when I say I spend 10–15 minutes driving in circles just to find a parking spot. That alone is ridiculous for a paid membership. Then I walk inside and every single machine is taken. At that point, it’s already a waste of time. What really pushes this over the edge is the equipment. Downstairs there are six treadmills, and only TWO work. The others have been broken for over a year. How is that acceptable? Benches and seats are ripped apart, worn down, and clearly neglected. The weights and machines look like they haven’t been replaced since the early 1990s. I’m paying a lot of money every month just to stand around waiting for machines or leave without even getting an effective workout. That’s not what a gym membership is supposed to be. The place is overcrowded, under-maintained, and outdated, yet nothing seems to change. Unbelievable!!!
We used the pool with my kids. We were all having a good time until the switch in the life guard. First I’d like to say I understand fully the safety of the children. On the other hand there is a point when the personal opinion of the guard comes into play and ruins the fun by interrupting everybody that was in pool. I was with in arm reach of my children the whole time. She continued to interfere with everyone in the Pool. From how my daughter had the life jacket on. There was a twist in the shoulder strap and she made us get out of the pool the took the jacket off my daughter and the put it on her the way she wanted it to be. There was no safety concern with a twist in the shoulder strap. She told me that she was not asking but telling me she had to fix it how she felt fit. I feel this was over stepping. It was uncomfortable and my children wanted to leave after the encounter with her. Other families also left when she got on duty.
The staff is always great but there’s definitely some room for improvement as far as the building itself being updated and very much needed upgrades for some of the workout machines. Some of the machines seem to take a really long time to be repaired, or are never repaired at all and not replaced.
Experience is usually very good, but the day I am writing this, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the racquetball court was broken into 4 times within an hour by either kids or untrustworthy adults. People are running out of control in the halls, too.
Friendly staff, equipped well for general fitness. Plenty of Silver Sneakers programs.
