Glenn Dale Montessori School

I have one child who currently attends Glenn Dale and two who previously attended Mitchellville Montessori several years ago. Over the years we have been very satisfied with the staff and academic programs. The teachers are nurturing and very supportive to our children. My son is always excited about the extracurricular activities at the school. They instill a love for learning that will last a lifetime. There are plenty of opportunities for parent involvement within the school. I would definitely recommend Glenn Dale to any parent who is looking to give their child a quality education.

I concur with another reviewer. Ms. Harvey, the Director will be at fault for so many unprofessional, inadequate issues with their school & will keep your monies when she is at fault. I registered my son for summer montessori sessions & she hits me with they officially lost their building 1.5 weeks before he was supposed to start. Would change the terms of the contract after it was signed & monies paid, & NEVER informed us when we were signing up that not enough children had signed up for the montessori summer camp to be a certified montessori program with a certified montessori teacher...Now why would anyone pay more than $250 per week for just anothed daycare center? I'll wait...I notice that they move around the PG County area a lot & keep changing the name of their school. They previously were Mitchellville Montessori school, who knows who they will be next, but if Ms. Harvey is involved RUN!

DO NOT make the mistake of sending your child to this school. It is a newer building, but the owner / principle / manager is still the same two-bit hustler that is unfortunately hustling your children s development, education and safety. In 2011 - 2012 year we had two boys in this school. There was excessive incidents of hitting because of inadequate supervisor, incident reports were not filled out, calls to the parents were not made when one of our Sons had an asthma event. Not once, not twice, NOT THREE TIMES, but FOUR TIMES. There are four teachers. Two of them are outstanding and the other two (Ms. Sawat and Ms. Allen) are sub par at best and do not know how to handle issues when they arise. Instead the encourage a "defend yourself" method when children have conflicts which results in escalation of disagreements. When you bring the issues to the Principle / Owner she is primarily concern if you plan on attending for the next year. If not, your issue will not be addressed in any manor because there is no profit in it. We attempted to explain that this needed to be addressed for the children still in the school to make it better for them and we were ignored. We are one of over seven families that did not re-enroll our children this year.

ITS BY THE GRACE OF GOD THAT THIS SCHOOL WAS SHUT DOWN........THIS BY FAR WAS THEE ABSOLUTELY MOST WORSE SCHOOL THAT I HAD EVER WORKED AT DONT KNOW HOW SHE RAN A BUSINESS THIS LONG MR. HARVEY AND I SAY MR BC THATS WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE HARVEY IS A DEMON IN A MAN SUIT......VERY MONEY HUNGRY, SHE WOULD GIVE THE CHILDREN OLD FOOD THAT HAD BEEN IN HER HOME FREEZER OVER A YEAR AND SHE WOULD TELL THE TEACHERS THAT IT WAS OK TO FEED IT TO THE KIDS I COULD GO ON FOR MONTHS ABOUT THAT HELL HOLE BUT NO NEED BC I DONT THINK ANYONE WILL EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH IT EVER AGAIN!!!!
