We love the Nursery School! My son attended for three years and I'm so happy to have my daughter now having the same experience. The staff are beyond warm and loving. They truly love my kids and are so experienced! I'm a teacher in a PK-3rd school so I'm thrilled to see what they're doing. There's not a fancy or modern facility, but that is PERFECT for what little kids need. An enriching, social, play-based, wholesome curriculum with exposure to Jewish holidays. My daughter comes home singing songs and talking about her experiences every day, and naming her new friends is just the best. The families I met are all so kind as well, especially that I don't live in Glen Rock so it's nice to meet new people. I can't say enough good things about the GRJC Nursery School.
Spacious, play based school. Non secular so anyone can join. It will be more Hebrew based but overall, the academics is a part of this school. May be too play based ad very loose in terms of dealing with children who lack the necessary disciple needed in order for them to grow. Staff is not appreciated. Educated staff are encouraged to dumb themselves down in order to not appear as a threat to the rest of the staff. Food is included and snack, and a few specialists come by, like music and yoga components. Class sizes are too large in my opinion, however to each their own. Not the best education but not the worst. Thumbs up with their security system.
An attractive and friendly neighborhood conservative synagogue. Located in an attractive residential area off a local street in Glen Rock NJ. Attendance includes a wide age range. Has a female rabbi who mixes contemporary issues with Talmudic commentary in her sermons. In addition to the sanctuary, has classrooms and areas for food service. Respectable amount of parking behind the building and nearby streets.
They have a very nice Friday evening service for little kids. The rabbi did a terrific job of keeping the children engaged.
Visited this small conservative congregation with interesting rabbi. Enjoyed the sermons.
