The reviews provided are for a restaurant, not a daycare center. There is a data mismatch - Gingerbread House in Vancouver, Washington appears to be a family diner/cafe, not a center-based daycare facility. No legitimate daycare reviews are available to summarize.
Over priced for the food you get. They did not have anything gingerbread related inside which was a huge disappointment. This place had apartment been sold to new owners so maybe that's why it seems lack luster. They have a reminence of the cute gingerbread theme but it's loosing its cuteness. Just severely underwhelming and not worth the price. We had visited on July 6th 2025.
I really, really prefer to support family-owned businesses, which is why I detoured to come for breakfast after a friend told me about the place. Unfortunately, they only serve breakfast until 11am, so I wasn't able to order eggs and ended up having a burger and onion rings. The food was veryiddle of the road. Burgers were fine (cooked ok, but way too much sauce; dripping with ketchup and mustard)). Onion rings were fine (cooked from frozen, but decent and crispy; portion was tiny with 8 thin rings for $4.50). The service was super slow (training a new employee, I believe), but they were all very nice. The place is extremely dated and not in very good condition. If it's on your way and you're not picky, I'd stop to support them, but I would not make a special trip a second time.
This is a quaint little family diner that I have been stopping at for as far back as I can remember. We used to always stop for ice cream when returning home from a weekend adventure in Oregon’s beautiful mountains. What a pleasure it is to have a childhood favorite still available for my dining and nostalgic pleasures. A lot of things have changed over the years—some for the better, others for the worse—but it is truly comforting to see the Gingerbread House remain the same after all these years.
Tots were good. Burgers ok. I was expecting more from the bison & elk meat. The meat didn’t have much flavor. The beef was basic. Ladies were friendly.
Awe, we had a nice time at Gingerbread House. I had the bison burger and onion rings and she had a taco salad and a Reeces milkshake. It was all good and we enjoyed reminiscing about past times. There are some good historical pictures on the walls to help with the memories. We miss all the animals and monkeys but times have changed and we are glad there is nothing caged anymore.
