What Parents Say
Giles Health & Family Center receives mixed reviews with significant concerns about supervision and hygiene practices. While some parents praise the facility, serious complaints include inadequate staff supervision at field trips, poor cleanup practices, and alleged neglect of a young child's hygiene needs during potty training.
Never been to this place before, but I was just at a town park in Pembroke while they had children over from their center. Anyways the children were super sweet, but the workers just all sat on one bemch talking to eachother not really paying a bit of attention to any of the kids. I was sitting in one of the metal pavilions and there was kids stuff everywhere along with their trash from lunch. I had to give one of my kids an arm full of kids belongings to hand to one of the instructors. The trash left behind was just ridiculous though, I get kids are messy, I have 4, but it is not hard at all to walk the hell around a place to make sure the kids didn't leave a mess. Its also not that hard to tell a child to make sure their messes are picked up. There are trash cans literally circling the playground equipment.
This place is the absolute worst child care center I have ever seen. I pulled my child from here due to a string of VERY SERIOUS issues I had with the place after only a few months. There were several reasons, (too many to list) that we pulled her out, so I'll focus only on the big one. My daughter was 3 at the time, and partially potty trained. She knew to how go, but still had accidents, mostly at night and during naps. We took her there in pair of fresh pull-ups in the mornings with instructions that they should put panties on early, and use pull-ups for nap time only. They started sending her home while still wearing a pair of pull-ups, and sometimes with a rash, so we got suspicious. One morning we marked the inside of her pull ups she had on with a sharpie, and dropped her off like normal. That afternoon we picked her up and she still had on a pair. We checked them and sure enough, it was the same pair from that morning, soaking wet, with her as red as can be. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. I can't speak for their treatment of the elderly, which they also care for there, but I'm beyond convinced that their treatment must be obscene as well.

Great place doing amazing things for this community.
