Gilden Woods Early Care & Preschool

I would like to thank all of the staff at Gilden Woods New Hudson. I toured a lot of preschool/daycare centers and by far I knew this is where I would be able to send my kids. They both have excelled in multiple ways since being at Gilden Woods. All of the teachers have spoken highly of my kids and I feel comfortable with them in their care. Ms. Miranda and Ms. Carrie are both wonderful leaders and always are welcoming at drop off, planning events for the kids and all around caring and compassionate. Between my two kids, there have been two teachers, in particular, who have made huge impacts on my children. My son is currently in the GSRP program and is learning so many new things during this transition. This program is led by two wonderful teachers, but he has a special bond with Ms. Amanda. The way I hear him talk about his days and the impact of Ms. Amanda truly shows her passion for her career. My son has always talked about his days at school, but is constantly telling me about how Ms. Amanda made him feel loved, helped him when he felt sad, and helped him learn how to write his name “so much better.” There have just been multiple times when I have heard my son give examples of how Ms. Amanda has made him feel comfortable and safe at school, which is what every parent would want for their child! The other teacher who has had a great impact on my family is Mrs. Savannah. Mrs. Savannah has welcomed my daughter with open arms and took her under her wing to expand her knowledge and confidence. She has never been without her brother in a preschool or day care setting, so I was very nervous for her to be alone. My daughter feels extremely comfortable with Mrs. Savannah and always talks about her and how she is always there to help her. When it comes to meeting people for the first time, my daughter is usually pretty shy and quiet, but she knew right away that Mrs. Savannah was someone she could trust and love. Thank you to all of Gilden Wood staff members that have assisted my kids in any way- Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Hannah, Ms. Lexi, Ms. Dani just to name a few, but especially Ms. Amanda and Mrs. Savannah.

We enrolled our four-year-old son at Gilden Woods New Hudson about four months ago. It’s been an amazing experience, and we feel our son has found a second family there. The staff at Gilden Woods does a tremendous job communicating with the parents on current events, what our son is eating via their weekly menu, and working through any questions we have about anything. There are two people I’d like to recognize in this review and that’s Miranda and Savannah. Miranda is part of the office staff that helped enroll our son at Gilden Woods. She is polite, respectful, and easy to approach about anything. She was quick to correct an issue we experienced with the center’s payment system, and she has been super responsive whenever I need anything. Savannah has been our son’s teacher for the whole time we’ve been at Gilden Woods. Savannah has helped our son through the challenge of getting used to a new school. She doesn’t think of our son as child, but rather as a person that needs love and support to grow. She has put a lot of effort into being sympathetic and empathetic to his situation. She has helped him be more comfortable with this change. Our son now comes home telling us how much fun class is and how awesome Savannah is. Overall, I’d highly recommend Gilden Woods to anyone looking for childcare in the New Hudson area.

We love this daycare for our children. They go above and beyond to help our children everyday and to make our jobs as parents a little easier. Thank you all so much! I can't express how happy are kids are when with you all!

UPDATE: I was recently laid off of work and what makes me the most sad in the whole situation is that we will have to temporarily pull our 3yo out of Gilden Woods New Hudson. He is learning SO much there and is so well loved by every member of the staff. Ms. Diana has been teaching him colors in Spanish, he sings about the different types of weather from circle time with Ms. Savannah, and he is always well-fed with delicious and nutritious meals by Ms. Anna and Ms. Tamara. The center is run professionally, but with a warmth about it that is indescribable. Ms. Carrie has been a terrific addition to the leadership team, and Ms. Miranda continues to soar in her early childhood career as the Assistant Director. Ms. Dani is the best smile to walk into each morning and I miss seeing her when she's not at the desk. I am truly heartbroken to not start my day with this group of incredible teachers and professionals for the first time in almost 8 years. We'll be back as soon as we can! _______________________________________________ I could write a 10-page essay on why I love Gilden Woods New Hudson but I'll try to keep it short and sweet 🥰 We chose this daycare 7 years ago for our first-born after touring multiple other daycare centers. To me, the biggest difference was the warmth and love I felt when I walked inside compared to other places that felt so sterile. Years later, that is still the case and the top reason we continue to send our youngest there with total confidence in the care he receives. The teachers are truly so kind and loving towards the children. My son comes home (2yo) singing new songs all the time and has a blossoming obsession with books that I know stems from circle time at school with his teachers. They've supported us through milestones like potty training and pacifier weaning without batting an eye. Ms. Dani is an absolute angel. All of the teachers and leadership communicate regularly and effectively which is so important. The app they have is easy to use and full of photos and updates throughout the day. I can't imagine how sad we will be when our youngest finally ages out and we won't get to see them every day like we have for so long-- they are family to us through and through! 10/10 recommend
