I didn't know what Chabad meant, and as a young Christian looking for a place where I can learn God's commandments I followed Acts 15's recommendation to go to the synagogues to learn more about Moses, who's preached every Sabbath day. I found out, however, that Chabad is tied to Kabbalah mythology and to a Jewish fable similar to Premillennialist Dispensationalism with a third temple and a reinstatement of the Levitical priesthood and sacrificial system and a denial of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in exchange for a human and not divine Messiah, when Jesus is both God and man. Sure, Chabad of Western Michigan was hospitable and shared Moses with me, a great reminder to me how Jesus is my Passover Lamb whose blood sprinkled on the cross allowed God's wrath to pass over me and showed me mercy and truth - what I drew from their reading of the last 3 plagues on Egypt in the book of Exodus. And they generously offered me lunch with them. But after I'd shared my testimony how Jesus saved me from my fiction and helped me start walking in the truth, they didn't want to hear anything else from me. I thanked them for their hospitality, but I don't intend to go back. But I hope my testimony sticks around there and saves some of them.
Had a really pleasant experience at Chabad! enjoyed the services and the Shabbat Kiddush!!!
When I stepped into Chabad for the very first time, I was a bit nervous but upon entering the wonderful warm environment and upon meeting the most amazing Rabbi and Rebbetzin and their beautiful children, all my fears immediately dissipated and at once I became a strong Chabad fan! a wonderful thank you to Rabbi Manis's young daughter, Mushka Miriam, who made me feel so comfortable and at home!
A nice place to spend Shabbos. The Hallers made us feel very welcome. There's a guest house that has three private rooms, one of which they provided for us.
The most amazing people! Yossive and Sarah are so wonderful!
