Incredible preschool!! I looked all over the East Bay to find a good Jewish preschool for my son that shared the values and the educational pedagogy that I was looking for. Gan Mah Tov was by far the best!!! The environment is perfect- clean, full of creativity and has a safe and fun outdoor space. The teachers are incredible and I never had one hesitation about leaving my 2 year old (for the first time) with them. The director, Melanie, Is not only super involved, but knowledgeable and also one of the kindest person I’ve ever met. The community at Gan Mah Tov is also so wonderful and an added bonus to the care, affection, attention, education, and fun my 2 year old son has everyday in this environment. I cannot recommend Gan Mah Tov enough!
This preschool is such a bright, warm, and loving environment! My child comes home happy everyday and so proud of her artwork. She participates in a wide range of engaging activities each week— STEM, imaginative play, English/Hebrew (lots of singing and dancing), outdoor play on the on-site playground, and even cooking! I’ve found my child is ready for kindergarten and now she’s learning leadership skills caring for the younger children. In regards to communication, I find the app the school uses makes it easy to communicate to the teachers and director. They are always prompt in responding. There’s also a nice parent group chat so we can support one another as parenting young children aren’t for the faint of heart. We are so grateful to have found such a nurturing and enriching place for our child to learn and grow.
Our 2 year-old has been at Gan Mah Tov for a couple of months. We are so happy with the school, the teachers, and the community. They’ve been flexible with scheduling, communicative about our son’s needs and updates during the day, and generally really warm and welcoming. My kid says “bye mama” and walks through the door to his classroom no problem at drop off and speaks fondly about his classmates and teachers at home. It’s a really special place!
Our daughter (3) has been going to gan mah tov since she was a baby, she is very happy at gan and we are happy with the warm and thoughtful staff, we know she is getting great care and is always engaged in a variety of activities including music, cooking and dancing.
It’s our first year at the Gan and we are loving it. The staff is wonderful with small class sizes. School activities are varied, and the outdoor space is great. Couldn’t ask for more!
