Fundamentals Learning Center

We’ve had experience in the infant room all the way to the preschool room - they truly treat my children like family. A friend with older kids suggested a couple of years ago and we’ve never looked back! The set up and schedule promotes interaction, development, and play. We are moving out of state and will miss everyone here! For two working parents the hours are great and there are barely any days we have to find coverage as there is no winter or spring break.

We love Fundamentals! Our infant has been here for 9 months. From the first day, all of the staff have shown how much they care about our child and family's wellbeing. We get regular photos and updates through the app which was very nice for a first time parent. The office side also has great communication and support for new parents.

We moved our two children to fundamentals from another center after receiving many glowing reviews from families that previously been or currently had children in their facility. Every time we asked for childcare recommendations (from our medical colleagues) Fundamentals came up! We are so happy we did- not sure what these first couple reviews are about (the first two don’t even sound like they’ve ever been there!) but fundamentals is a great place to send your kiddos! Sure, it’s a little outdated, but inside you’ll find a caring group of teachers and caretakers, clean bright spacious rooms, a huge outdoor play area, and kids who know everyone there and genuinely love to go to school. There is a crazy low turnover rate (when we enrolled, the newest teacher had been there 4 years, and most 12+ years!!) - talk about job satisfaction! The teachers treat your kids like family and our kids learn every day. Give this place a chance - sure they need a paint job but who doesn’t in Upper Arlington - we chose and love this place way more than the school the kids were in before AND as a bonus it’s significantly less expensive.

My children have been going to this center for over 6 years and we have had a great experience from infant to school age. We were referred by several neighbors who had also sent their kids here. They have many teachers that have been working there for a decade or longer and my kids love all the staff. They have always been responsive to any concerns or questions we have. I also have been super impressed with how they handled covid procedures. It’s true they have an older building but my kids don’t notice—it’s cheerful and spacious and they have a really big fun outdoor area with trees and grass. Much better feel to me than some of the tiny outdoor patios with no greenery that some other local daycare centers have.

This day care is amazing! My children have attended here for over four years and we have been constantly amazed at the amount of attention each family receives. The director is always available and even the owners have a constant presence. All of the children are happy and the teachers do many many fun learning activities with the children. Lots of our friends bring their children here and we are pleased with the care and attention our children have at Fundamentals.
