Fumc Preschool Child Care Center

Our family LOVES the FUMC preschool! We’ve had two children in the program and it has been a great experience. Our older daughter loves coming back to pick up her younger brother—she talks about her great memories and all the teachers remember her. Great indoor and outdoor spaces, fun events, a real sense of community, and the BEST teachers! So grateful to have had FUMC recommended to us years ago. A true blessing.

THE BEST DAYCARE IN SONOMA COUNTY!!! When we moved to Santa Rosa many years ago - we tried several daycares - and none of them were as incredible as FUMC. The kids have so much fun playing in the GIANT gym + outside with the teachers. We sent two of our kids from ages 2-5 to the school and they loved it. The staff is very engaging. I have recommended them to every single family we meet because of our fantastic experience. HIGH RECOMMENDED. If we had more kids - we would send them here. Kids were totally ready for starting TK/K after their time with FUMC.

We Praise God for First United Methodist Church Pre-School for loving and taking care of our Son. We have been through 4 different preschools in the area and FUMC is the best we have ever been. The school has been there for 33 years and the staff have been there for 28 to 30 years, this speaks volume on how they understand the needs, growth and development of our son. With their seasoned experience in Child Development they give a wonderful, loving, safe environment and beautiful state of the art toys appropriate for our son's needs. And most of all we are deeply grateful and thankful for the teachers Ms. Debbie, Ms. Joanne, Ms. Lupe, Ms. Carlee who have been there for years and to our Director Ms. Jamie, they Angels from heaven who gives loving care and understanding to our son every day. Our son does not want to go home and he loves being there and this is how we know FUMC is a safe and loving place for our son.

Our daughter has been going to FUMC since the spring. She absolutely loves it, and so do we. Everyday she comes home filled with a big smile on her face, a skip in her step and a story to tell me about the latest fun thing she did at preschool. The teachers are so creative and always coming up with new activities and projects for the kids to do, plus every week they have music and Spanish classes. The kids also get a lot of time to play outside and when it rains they have a big gym they can use, so they're not cooped up in a classroom and can still get their energy out. The teachers are warm, loving, and highly educated, and the teacher/student ratio is low. We visited seven preschools before we enrolled our daughter here, and the experience has exceeded my expectations. We look forward to our son going to FUMC once he is two!

This is a fantastic pre-school. My daughter loves it. The teachers are conscientious, and from what I know, are paid a living wage. This means a lot to me in the sense of female pay equity and knowing my children are well taken care of. The price is not outrageous and their is a good parent community. Methodists Church's also rock by the way. Very community focused. There is singing on Wednesdays and Spanish class on Fridays. The director is very responsive and well-educated. Plus, if there is room you can have your child do a drop-in day which is great when un-expected childcare needs crop up.
