What Parents Say
The Fry Family YMCA Early Learning Center in Naperville receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the facility's recent renovations, clean conditions, and friendly staff. The center offers diverse amenities including a renovated pool, fitness equipment, classes for various age groups, and childcare services. One reviewer noted concerns about rising membership costs and early closing times.
My son is taking swim lessons and his instructor is fantastic. He took lessons for years with little results, but the improvement he has made in just a few weeks has been dramatic. The lifeguards are amazing. We were witness to how quickly, efficiently, and professionally they handled an emergency.
It’s ok but getting too expensive. The only thing it really has for me now is its closeness to home. My wife and I joined as a couple a few years back and it was a decent deal. Fast forward to now: No more couple’s memberships so my wife quit due to the price and lack of working equipment. My single membership is now the cost of what a couples membership was. I used to love to use the pool but with the lack of (any locker room etiquette) I really don’t enjoy going in the locker room. There are always several random old men just hanging out buck naked. (It’s really weird) I do like going when I have time on Sundays but they close super early. I hear the Naperville Park District is building a new facility next door. Maybe that will be a better bargain?
The sauna, steam room, pool area are closed 1-4 which is when a lot of us have time go anyways. The physical appearance and overall decorum of the staff has declined with time. Not sure what's happening. What's with the stupid anti ICE sign too? Is there something shady going on?
It is a 5 star rating for this review considering it is a non-profit organization. It is still at a four star rating when compared to any other commercial establishment. There are a variety of offerings from swimming pool to cardio and weights. There are basketball and other courts and they offer classes for different age groups. There is also a kid care facility that you can use while you are at the premises. Ample parking and convenient location.
Pool and sauna hour 1-4, prices go up but hours diminish. The short blonde hair girl/ boy (transitioning) is super rude and doesn’t belong at this facility.
