What Parents Say
Friendship Children's Center is a highly-regarded nonprofit daycare established in 1989 with consistently excellent reviews from parents. Parents praise the caring teachers, high-quality curriculum, and nurturing environment that supports children from infancy through pre-K. The center offers good value pricing, reasonable class sizes, and strong community engagement.
We moved into the Friendship Heights / Chevy Chase neighborhood when my wife was pregnant, and we were completely lost with regard to picking a place for our future daughter to spend the day. After meeting a family in the neighborhood that sent their children to FCC, we took a look and we were blown away. The non-profit daycare has been around since 1989, and the reputation is spotless. Our daughter has now been enrolled for a few months, and we couldn't be happier. We couldn't recommend it any higher.
Both of my children have thrived at Friendship Children's Center since they were just 4 months old. The teachers are not only wonderful educators but also incredibly caring and encouraging. The preschool program is top-notch, preparing kids well beyond kindergarten readiness. We're impressed by the diverse and engaging curriculum, which keeps our little ones excited about learning every day. The warm, nurturing environment truly sets FCC above the rest. The pricing is reasonable, offering great value for the high-quality care and education provided. We couldn't be happier with our choice and wholeheartedly recommend this daycare to other families in the area.
We've had a terrific experience at FCC for both of our kids who were both in the program as babies through pre-K. Our oldest daughter (four) just graduated from the program. The curriculum is fantastic, the programming is dynamic, creative and thoughtful and the teachers are really caring. The 0-2 center is a block from the 2 - 5 center and they do a wonderful job of building a community across the centers, staff, and community. I highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience at this school. The teachers have all been fantastic across the board. There are lots of fun learning activities for the students and the teachers put a lot of thought into programming. This is a wonderful community of families. Highly recommend!
It's close to the metro, has a strong program for toddlers, and has an organizational structure that encourages parent participation and input. That it is a slightly cheaper option than most nearby alternatives and has a small class size cap is a plus.
