What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Friends to Parents as a nurturing, well-run center with caring, experienced staff who treat children as individuals. Children show strong developmental progress across academic, social, and emotional skills, with parents noting excellent communication and a family-like community atmosphere.
My daughter has been going here since she was 1, and I've seen such amazing growth in her. Drop-offs were tough in the beginning, but the teachers were so patient and reassuring. They truly care about every child, and it shows! Most, if not all the teachers know the kids by name and are always so friendly. She's now 2.5 and loves "school". She comes home with the cutest artwork, and I love the monthly calendar that lets me know what they're learning each day. The teachers are always attentive and communicate so well, whether it's about her nap, meals, or how she did that day. Their flexible hours are also a huge help with my work schedule. My only tiny wish is to get photo updates during the day but when we meet with the teachers, they always have so many pictures from throughout the months, and I love getting to see those moments. It's really sweet to look back on everything they do. And honestly, I appreciate that the teachers stay hands-on and focused on the kids. I recommend this daycare to everyone!
Friends to Parents did an amazing job preparing our children for elementary school. When we first started at FTP, our boys needed a short period of adjustment with the idea of going to pre-school, but the teachers helped so much by being patient, kind, and understanding. The children here learn how to communicate their feelings, share, set boundaries, learn with peers, be creative, and have fun. We were never told by our children that they did not want to attend FTP because of any "scary teachers" or "bullies". In fact, they would tell us what they loved most about each teacher and friends they played with that day. We witnessed their developmental progress through the artwork and crafts brought home, each time with more detail than the last. Our children were always excited for "Show and Tell" Fridays and when Police/Firefighters came to visit and talk about how they serve the community. We had opportunities to sit down with the lead teacher in each class and learn where each of our children met/excelled in certain areas and needed improvement in others. The office administration staff was always friendly and helpful. The Executive Director played an instrumental role in our decision to enroll here and we were so grateful for her leading us through the process. FTP is a gem in the Westborough neighborhood and we hope it continues to serve families near and afar. We highly recommend this daycare/pre-school!
Both of my children had the joy and privilege of starting their educational journey at Friends to Parents, and I can truly say it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as parents. From the very first day, we felt the warmth, care, and genuine love that the teachers and staff pour into every child. The environment is nurturing, safe, and thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. My kids would come home each day with big smiles, stories about their friends and teachers, and excitement about all the fun and meaningful activities they experienced — from hands-on crafts and songs to early reading, counting, and exploring the world around them. What makes Friends to Parents so special is their incredible team. Each teacher treats the children as their own — patient, caring, and deeply committed to helping every child grow both academically and emotionally. They understand that every child is unique, and they meet them with compassion, encouragement, and individualized attention. As a parent, I always felt included and supported. The communication was open and genuine, and it was clear that the school values a true partnership with families in nurturing confident, kind, and capable children. Today, both of my children continue to thrive in elementary school, and I truly believe that their confidence, curiosity, and love for learning were built on the strong foundation they received at Friends to Parents. If you’re looking for a preschool that feels like family — one that combines structure, fun, and heart — I wholeheartedly recommend Friends to Parents. It’s more than just a school; it’s a wonderful community where children grow, explore, and shine. 🌈💛
Friends to Parents (FTP) Child Development Center has been such a blessing for our family. From day one, it was obvious that this isn’t just a daycare as it’s a warm, welcoming place where the staff truly cares about each child as an individual. Both of my kids (now 6 and 4) started at FTP when they were just 6 months old. We’ve always loved the teachers in Rooms 9 and 12. They manage to be both professional and genuinely caring, and it shows in how they interact with the kids. My children have really thrived there. Their days are always filled with hands-on activities, sensory play, music, art, and so many opportunities to learn and grow. I’ve seen such a huge difference in their confidence, social skills, and communication. Their language, motor skills, and independence have all grown so much thanks to the routines and activities the teachers put together. The teachers provide conferences and evaluations for each child. As they age, preparing them for kindergarten becomes a priority. If you’re looking for a daycare that offers amazing early childhood education, great communication, and a genuinely loving atmosphere, I honestly can’t recommend Friends to Parents enough. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done for our family.
Unsafe for children due to multiple biting incidents After a fourth biting incident (twice in the last month), we decided to remove our 16 month old daughter from Friends to Parents (FTP). Each bite caused visible marks, with the most recent leaving her with a bruised cheek and a swollen eye. While we understand biting is age appropriate behavior in infants and toddlers, the incompetence of teachers to prevent such incidents, the Director's (Ms. Carmen) lack of genuine concern and the overall absence of a clear plan to address these recurring issues alarmed us. After each incident, we met with the Director Ms. Carmen) who would consistently offer the same scripted response: a generic apology, assurances of ongoing teacher training, and an explanation of how biting is "normal" and "age-appropriate." She even implied that our daughter provoked these incidents by reaching for toys other children were using. It was clear to us that the safety of children was not being prioritized, and our daughter’s well-being was at risk. Until FTP takes these matters seriously and implements a comprehensive protocol to manage biting incidents, we urge parents to be cautious about enrolling their infants here. Additionally, we found the Director’s (Ms. Carmen) communication skills presented challenges for new and prospective parents. Her approach lacked empathy and transparency, created an environment of uncertainty and anxiety. This, coupled with her unresponsiveness and dismissive attitude, exacerbated the stress we experienced as new parents.
