What Parents Say
Fresh Start Day Care Center receives highly polarized reviews, with most parents praising the caring staff, diverse environment, and educational activities, while a smaller number report serious concerns about cleanliness, staff attentiveness, and educational quality. The center appears to have undergone leadership changes that may have affected operations. Parent experiences vary significantly, suggesting inconsistency in service delivery.
There is definitely room for improvement, but you get for what you pay. They take care of my daughter and she is safe unharmed and they provide meals. They are one of the most economical daycares I have found and it’s easy to pay online. They are mostly a learn through play center and they teach the kids to play nice with each other. They let them play between classes 3’s and 4s and take nap time all together. My daughter has a favorite teacher she’s attached to. They have recently started to teach my daughter tracing which I’m happy to see! I have shown up early to pick up my daughter and everything has seemed perfectly fine and normal. I see the teachers actively cleaning their classrooms or the kitchen area. Their bathrooms need work, they should have stalls for the kids privacy. I also don’t like that they let the kids go potty alone, they should at least watch over them to ensure they cleaned properly and washed their hands. Lastly, communication with parents can improve, I’d like to receive paper letters in my daughters cubby letting me know of an upcoming day the center is closing, an email or the teacher verbally notifying me. For now they just put a note on the front door, that can be easily missed. Everyone has been very nice and polite. The old director that is said to be incompetent on older reviews has been replaced, she was definitely unhelpful and unprepared. My daughter has been in the center for about 10 weeks and she’s adapted well for now.
The daycare center isn't sanitized. The children are not receiving the proper learning skills. The teachers are not paying attention to the children needs. I found out the hard way not to go by location of a school looking at the ratings are helpful but seeing for yourself is more believable. My three kids went there for two days and I found out my child told me his teacher pinched him. If you love your child and want a good education go find another daycare center. The floors, walls, carpet, pillows, toys, restroom areas are very dirty. When you walk into the center it smells really bad. Thank you for reading this I hope this was helpful.
The worse place you could ever send your child. The staff and owner are incompetent. If you're fine with: 1. Your child being sick constantly 2. Being forced to "contribute" to a fundraiser and if you don't pay, it gets added to the tuition Then this is the place for you. Spend a little extra money and take your child to a clean and quality facility/educational environment. You will be able to compare and tell the difference.
My experience with fresh start has been great! My daughter attends the pre k and daycare program here at fresh start, she has learned a lot. Her number, Abc's, months, spelling her name,etc.....Sometime it becomes hard to get her to come home.lol! what I like most about fresh start, the diverse environment, they trully care about the children, and are open to hear about us parents needs and wants for our kids. The director ms. Araceli and the teachers are the best! I thank them for all the work that they do. I can on and on but I'll be writing a novel.
I want to give kudos to my daycare for working with us parents while the state is currently going through a financial situation! While other centers are closing their doors my center remains open and trying to keep things going as best they can. I'm glad I picked this center for my kids, they love it!
