I volunteered at this facility, and it was truly state of the art, with great personal and you can see the Pride the kids, staff and visitors have for this space. I’m looking forward to continuing to support them, and providing a safe, engaging and intentional space for our kids.
wow. amazing tax dollars at work. saw magic show there. very spacious. good security. we were tested by metal detector. clean facility. lots of activities planned
Extremely grateful for a nice and safe place for youth to visit and interact with their peers in the community. Can't wait for more programs to be available and for a larger quantity of children.
I gave this facility 3 stars because I do believe it is a wonderful place for the youth of today to have a positive place to learn and meet other youth. My experience is of a professional one; well at least on my behalf it was professional. Last year and this pass Spring I offered a mentoring program to the Youth Center because I was new to the area. Previously my program was in Westfield, Plainfield and New Brunswick for approximately 29 years between the 3 towns. I offered the youth an opportunity to express their talents through the arts of Modeling and Acting. My program would help to provide positive images and role models and a platform for students to develop and showcase their skills. But I never heard back from any of the staff that I wrote to. Not even a rejection letter or email. I was even referred to the Youth Center by two police officers, one of whom was a student in my program; and the other was a supported of the Franklin Township Youth Center. I can except them not wanting a program like mine, but not hearing from any of the top three members seemed quite unprofessional to me and to the police officer that recommended me. I could go on and on about my program which has had students go on to appear on television sitcoms, TV commercials, Movies and appeared in Fashion and Magazines! I gave years of my services on a volunteer level and am very proud of all my student's accomplishments. Anyway, I wish the Youth Center continued success! I know one day there will be another town that would gladly have me conduct another youth mentoring program. Sadly disappointed.
Beautiful facility. Love the public library being right next door. Get there if you haven't been. You'll be pleasantly surprised 💜😘
