Please be very careful with this school. While many of the teachers are amazing, truly dedicated and caring, my experiences with the administration and office staff have been extremely disturbing. I was subjected to repeated hostile and intimidating treatment that caused me significant emotional distress. One of the office staff members has made dangerous threats about me as well as having defamed my character. I and a few volunteers witnessed an incident where a school parent was racially, emotionally, and verbally assaulted by this office staff member. It was shocking and frightening to see this occur in a school environment in front of small children. There was also a serious security breach in which an unknown individual was allowed physical access to my five-year-old child during the school day. When I questioned the Principal she stated she did not know about the incident and admitted they did not properly request identification from this person and therefore do not know who the individual was. I was not informed at the time, and even more than a month later, I have still not been given clear answers about how this was allowed to happen or what changes were made afterward. Additionally, statements made by school leadership about allowing ICE access to the building created fear and anxiety among myself & families. There have also been situations where important information regarding student incidents and CPS being at the school was not communicated clearly or transparently. No parent should feel afraid, dismissed, or unsafe when advocating for their child. I strongly urge families to ask questions, document everything, and proceed with caution.
La peor experiencia que pude vivir fue en esta escuela, entrevistaron a mi hijo de 4 años, por un caso de una maestra, la cual fue suspendida por un tiempo, pero ella sigue laborando ahí con niños de 3 y 4 años, nos enteramos 5 meses después de eso, la principal nunca nos escuchó, y nos decía que su personal era calificado que nunca un padre puso quejas sobre su maestra, cuando fuimos más de 5 padres hablando de la mala conducta de algunos maestros, vi como una maestra empujaba a un niño, la principal nunca se disculpó con nosotros, solo espero que esa maestra que incita al maltrato entre niños, que aún labora ahí logre terminar su último año para que por fin se jubile, motivo por el cual todos cuidaron de ella y no la despidieron, cuiden a sus hijos y estén alertas a cualquier dato que les diga, duden de todo. Y puedo seguir con la lista de las cosas erróneas que hace esta escuela, pero al mando de esa señora nada mejorará.
