The recent remodeling has greatly enhanced the facility. I enjoy coming here 4 times a week.
This place is a great area to let the kids swim and have a great time!!
Overall great and big facility however, in the indoor pool on the children frog slide there is BLACK MOLD. This is a biohazard and needs to be fixed immediately. My son and I got sick right after being exposed to the black mold. Please replace the slide instead of just putting tape over it. This is a safety concern and exposing children!
As a mother, when I take my children to the pool, I expect to see lifeguards actively patrolling the area, diligently monitoring everyone in the water. Although I usually join my kids in the pool, I would not feel comfortable allowing them to swim alone on the rare occasion that I chose not to get in. The lack of adequate lifeguard presence is concerning. The one lifeguard who is "on duty" remains seated in a tall chair at one end of the pool, and in the event of an emergency, the response time would be far too slow to prevent a tragedy. Moreover, I witnessed children pushing others under the water, and it was absolutely unacceptable that this behavior went unchecked by the lifeguards. This kind of dangerous activity should have been stopped immediately. As a mother, I had to intervene and say something to the kids because I couldn’t stand by and let it continue, but that should not have been my responsibility—it’s the lifeguards' duty to maintain safety in the pool. Furthermore, the pool itself is quite boring for a recreation center. It lacks the fun and engaging features that should be standard in such a facility, especially one intended for families and children. I sincerely hope that along with the ongoing renovations, there will be a reassessment of the lifeguard staffing requirements to ensure both the quality and quantity of supervision are improved. It's troubling to observe lifeguards eating or socializing in a nearby room instead of fulfilling their critical responsibilities. This situation is entirely unacceptable and must be addressed.
We had an amazing time at the Annual Fort Lupton Chamber Awards Ceremony Luau!
