Foreign Language Immersion School (FLIS) is truly an amazing school. Nestled in Celebration, FL—a city created by Disney—both the school and its surroundings are beautiful, with a touch of Disney magic woven into daily life. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with genuine warmth and smiling faces. FLIS does a remarkable job of hiring nurturing, loving staff who care deeply about the children. The Curriculum Coordinator, in particular, is a gem. She is receptive, understanding, and full of wisdom and love. From day one she recognized my son’s potential, and under her guidance and the dedication of his teachers, he flourished. Children are a mirror, and I wanted my son to receive a reflection that would bring out the best in him. Moreover, I always felt my son was safe and loved at FLIS, something invaluable at this stage of his life. FLIS may be small in size, but it is mighty in heart and achievement. Students participate in several national competitions and shine, reflecting the school’s commitment to excellence. Beyond academics, there is a continuous celebration of culture and community. Every month brings something special: Hispanic Heritage Month, the French Festival, Chinese New Year, Dr. Seuss Week, Easter Egg Hunts, and more. Children participate in parades, Riverdance, Mariachi performances, Lion and Dragon dances, and cultural exhibitions that highlight the clothing, food, geography, history, and traditions of different countries. These experiences not only enrich the students but also bring families together in meaningful ways. Academically, FLIS stands out by offering daily instruction in Chinese, French, English, and Spanish, while also operating one grade level above the public-school curriculum. Learning is made fun and engaging, and the variety of afterschool activities, ranging from sports to music, creates a well-rounded education. FLIS is more than a school, it’s a community filled with love, culture, and opportunities. We feel grateful our son had the chance to grow and thrive in such a special place. We will miss FLIS, but we carry with us all the wonderful memories we created there.

My son has been attending this school since daycare, and we’ve had a truly wonderful experience throughout the years. The school genuinely feels like a second home for him. The warm, welcoming environment, combined with the dedication of the staff, has made a lasting impact on his growth and happiness. He looks forward to going every day, which, as a parent, is everything. One of the things we love most is the impressive language program—students are exposed to four languages, which has helped spark my son’s curiosity, confidence, and appreciation for different cultures. The balance of academic learning, emotional development, and fun makes this school stand out in every way. We’re so grateful to be part of a school community that feels like family and puts so much heart into every child’s experience.

Our son absolutely loves coming to daycare. I adore all the teachers that get to take care of him while he is there. All the staff make it a welcoming environment. I know that when I drop my son off, he is in good hands. They love the kids like their own. I can’t wait to watch him grow through the programs.

We have been with FLIS for 5 years and have had such a wonderful experience from Preschool to Elementary. All the staff are so caring and knowledgeable, striving to see the best from each student. The curriculum is challenging academically but filled with fun also. It is impressive how confident my children have become in all the languages they learn also.

My two children went to FLIS and had the best 6 years of education, care, and support. They left FLIS with a solid educational base and incredible memories too. I have nothing but great things to say about the school, the teachers, and the support staff. At FLIS, you get individualized attention and a family feel that you don’t find elsewhere. The language aspect is incredibly unique as well. Absolutely no regrets about sending my kids there. Highly recommend this special school. We felt lucky to be a part of it!
