What Parents Say
For Keeps Sake receives mixed reviews with strong polarization between parents. Some parents praise Dr. Watson's leadership, staff caring, and children's academic success, while others report serious concerns including alleged mistreatment by staff, inadequate supervision, poor hygiene practices, and insufficient food provision.
Dr. Watson and her staff are wonderful! I moved my daughter from another center where she was always ill and there was always an excuse about everything. Dr. Watson and the staff is very caring and are always upbeat. My child is learning and growing wonderfully! I'm really grateful for them.
Starting out good in the beginning. Then my 3 year old granddaughter begin exhibiting behaviors at home. She became very sad, withdrawn, and would beg not to back. She eventually told us that Ms. Stacy was very mean to her and tell her things like she's a pee pot and she'd never have friends. We made Dr. Watson aware of the problem and at one point she said Stacy would not be back. And for moment, she was gone and another teacher filled it. Everything was great. However, the fill in could no longer stay due to family emergency and Watson had to desperately call Stacy back. 3 year old regresses again. In attempt of Mom speaking to Stacy, Stacy became very loud, rude and lacked photojournalism. Watson, whom my daughter trusted in so much, disregard all past and present behaviors, complaints, etc and decided the children couldn't return. However, it wasn't on the day of conference. Mother was allowed to leave thinking there was going to be a solution that took the children's in consideration first. Fast forward the following morning, infant dressed as well as 2 year old, daycare van hunks, as we're heading to the van, given a few items (not sure if all) from the daycare. Still no communication. Contacted the center and ONLY then was told that Stacy doesn't like the 3 year old so none can attend.
I have two sons that have attended the daycare since they were 3 months. One is now 5 yrs old and participates in the after-school program. I have never had any issues with my son being provided lunch and adequate attention. In my opinion all of the kids are treated the same. If your child is a picky eater, you may need to provide your own food. If you have a child that requires a lot (excessive amounts) of attention, this is not the place for you. From my experiences the teachers are very old school and do not do a lot of the pacifying and catering to children. My son has done well on all of his DISD test scoring and seems to thrive well in the environment. Due to Covid he had to take a break. He was excited to go back this week. I am also one of those parents that ais very involved and pop in from time to time. The teachers are well aware of my presence and involvement. I do believe parent involvement is also a key factor in making it a success. I often see parents drop off kids without talking to the teachers or building any kind of rapport. I come to school programs and very few people come. So while I see many venting about their experience, I would also inquire about how much time was spent getting to know those caring for your children.
This has to be one of the worst daycares my children have ever been too and the owner there doesn't take any parents concerns seriously. I had to transfer my children to another daycare because my daughter got hurt there and no one could tell me how she got hurt and the lady lied said she will speak with her teacher but she never called me back. Then my 5 years old teacher there threaten my son and what the lady didn't know my son told me her name and when it happen I talked to the owner while the owner was standing there and she pretended to be shock when she already knew who the lady was and the lady was hiding in the daycare when my son was trying to show me who the lady was.
Dr. Watson and her staff are phenomenal! My daughter absolutely loves For Keeps Sakd. She has been attending for almost 2 years!
