What Parents Say
Flying Colors Preschool receives polarized reviews with strong opinions on both ends. Parents with children requiring special needs support praise the staff's dedication to speech therapy and individualized attention. However, multiple parents report poor communication, unresponsive staff, limited operating hours, and concerns about how mandatory reporting is handled.
Been on Class Dojo during my child's enrollment and have received zero updates or information on how my kid has been doing - pros/cons. Doesn't seem to have learned anything the whole year he has been there. Meaning there's been NO progress on anything from what I've personally taught him myself. Reading Writing Talking. The worst part is what I've already mentioned is the Lack of communication on how my child is progressing or his attitude and what could be improved. Seems to be poor quality on personalization. Called a few times and either been hung up on and never returned phone calls
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! They are NOT in the best interest of your children! Teachers think cause their mandatory reporters they have to report you to Children's Services for every single tiny bruise on your child. Cases have been closed and there was no indication of "child abuse"! I'll be damned if an innocent mother/couple has their child/ren taken away from them because these so called teachers don't think twice before report. I am so GLAD that Newark school district has moved out of this building. Such an embarrassment to them.
I LOVE everyone here! My son has asd with a severe speech delay and his speech has come leaps and bounds with the speech therapist! He is also learning how to socialize and do better with listening. Everyone here is so kind, and honestly do everything to help the kids. Best school for kids with special needs!
My son has a pretty severe communication delay and everyone at this school seems to be concerned with helping him in whatever way they can. They want him to get his speech therapy but also learn in a typical preschool setting. I would recommend this preschool to anyone, especially someone whose child needs a little extra help.
I called in and requested to speak to my sons teacher about the concerns. The lady got smart with me and told me to speak to the mom like that wouldn’t be an option before calling. Then she hung up. 😂
