This was a really fun little spot! Plenty of life guards all around both pools. 2 pools, 1 for smaller children and the other for everyone else. You also get a nice 1hr&45 min time to play. And for 10$! For my son and I. Was great! We'll be back !! Mostly everyone kept social distancing! A little hard in a pool, lol.. But with the certain capacity limit, it works!
Really nice brand new gym. Usually not a lot of people here. It is small but has a lot of good equipment! So clean and well kept.
This branch of the Apex center has some group classes, workout and weight center, pool and private shower / bathroom. More of a boutique workout location and not as big as the main campus. Not located on a main road so harder to find. Good for classes and basic workouts.
Could you consider extending your weekend hours? Closing at 1 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday makes it tough for many people to fit in a workout. Staying open until at least 2 or 3 PM would make a big difference! Plus every time I'm there at 12:45pm, it's absolutely packed! That shows that there is demand for extended hours. Pros: This is a fantastic little neighborhood gym and pool, and I’m so glad we have this facility in our community! I find myself consistently grateful for it. While the gym is small, it has most of the essentials you’d need. The price is unbeatable, and I love that it’s never overly crowded. It’s a wonderful resource for the Alta Vista neighborhood. 🙂 Cons: The gym could benefit from some updates and reorganization. Adding more communal TVs, newer equipment with built-in TVs, and improving space planning would make a big difference. For instance, the area with the large tables is rarely used and feels like wasted space. Transforming it into a dedicated stretching zone would be a much better use of the space and make it more functional for members. Also the weekend hours are absolutely awful. The gym closed at 1pm on Fri, Sat, Sun. Additionally, I’d love to see a community bulletin board installed. It could be a great way for neighbors to connect—whether it’s finding a workout buddy or sharing information about a lost pet. It would help foster a stronger sense of community and spark more conversations among members.
It's great for the whole family. We go for the outdoor pool which is sparkling and clean. The entire rec center is also very clean and the employees are happy and polite.
