Every time I go to write this review I end up getting emotional because I am just so beyond grateful to First United. This school is just incredible. We’ve been a part of the community since 2019 including navigating COVID with a preschooler and I can’t even begin to express how much love these teachers have for these students and how much they care. It is so amazing to see your little humans loved and appreciated and respected by everyone they encounter here and I cannot even begin to thank these wonderful people enough. I found First United because I saw their Kindergarten class out at a field day when my son was 1. I remember thinking to myself how nice all the kids seemed and wanted my son to go there too. Now, since attending, I’ve similarly had people comment to me about how nice and collaborative the kids are who attend First United. While I’m sure part of that comes from home and the parenting philosophy many of us share in wanting this kind of preschool environment for our kids, it also is a huge testament to these teachers and what they teach and how they approach problem solving amongst the children. We have kept my son here for Kindergarten this year and within the first week I was beyond grateful. He is learning so much and soaking up everything like a sponge, all through play. It makes me so happy that he gets that extra year of “childhood”. Honestly you can’t go wrong here!
We absolutely loved First United Methodist Nursery School. My three children attended FUMNS and had an amazing experience and enjoyed going to school each day. The director and teachers at FUMNS are welcoming and patient and always have a smile. It is a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. I loved the play based style of learning and my children learned so much!
My daughter was in the Kindergarten class year and she had a great experience. She was able to enjoy playing with her friends, learn her ABC’s, and learn appropriate social and emotional skills for kindergartens that a more traditional kindergarten sometimes overlooks. She always looked forward to school and all the amazing activities the teachers of FUMNS had planned. I would definitely recommend the program.
Wondering where to send your children to preschool? Look no further.. this is it! The teachers, staff, parents and children are all so loving, caring and respectful. I finally feel like I found my people. My son is currently in the pre-k 4’s program and will be attending FUMNS for Kindergarten next year. If I could sign up my youngest child now, I would. Thank you for providing this amazing play based program.
My 1st child went to First United Methodist Nursery School. The program was perfect for him! The teacher to student ratio is fantastic. Each teacher is caring, full of imaginative spirit, and they keep the day running smoothy. I am excited that my 2nd child is signed up to attend in the coming fall!
