What Parents Say
This is a religious facility that serves multiple community functions beyond traditional daycare. Reviews highlight its welcoming atmosphere, community outreach programs, and supportive staff, with all reviewers giving 5-star ratings.
Enjoyed the facility was perfect for what we needed. Thank you (Wado) for allowing us to use your facility for our Cherokee ribbon skirt sewing class.
Offers a food pantry and Celebrate Revcovery on Thursday nights starting at 530 where you can get fed and worship. Great place to go for AA or NA meetings that you have to have signed as required by the courts.
Scottsboro FUMC has recently made the decision to indefinitely close their daycare ministry, The Children’s Place Daycare, with no advance warning. Parents were notified by a brief and inconsiderate message from the director, who had already resigned from the daycare. FUMC Church Council did not provide any communication on their decision, nor did they provide resources to assist parents who were left with no childcare. FUMC church council members waited until the final hour to communicate the closure, when notice could have been given several days prior. FUMC should be a pillar of support for the Scottsboro community. Instead, it seems as if they only wish to profit off of the monthly tuition fees without any regard for the care of the children. The rumors circulating through the community regarding the reasons behind this closure are despicable. At the very least, FUMC should have provided resources and support to the families so negatively impacted by this decision, along with a well-written notice of the closure with advance notice and refunds for unused tuition. Not only are families left without childcare, but teachers are also now without a job. It seems as though this church does not care about its stakeholders or the Scottsboro community.
I was seeking help for my nephew who was stranded in Scottsboro. This Church is the only one who answered my phone call and Joy was quick to help! I so appreciate everything she did to assist him. I just want her to know all is well and he’s getting another vehicle. Thank you, Joy!!!! Your name fits you because you brought joy to my life!!!
We have Celebrate recovery here on Thursday nights. 6pm Plus they'll not only love on you they'll feed you (530p) This place is very much a necessity in our community. ❤️
