First Step Child Care Ministry

I've been using first steps since my oldest son was 6. He is now 14 years old and his 2 year old brother attends the daycare now. This the only daycare I trust with my baby. He loves going to daycare to see his favorite teacher and his friends. James is one of the nicest people I've met. Very respectable and he knows his business. No daycare is perfect everything will not go the way you want. I know my kid is safe even I go to work and I don't have to worry. Thanks to all the staff that care for my turtle 🐢

Do not send your kids here. I was at the McDonald's next door to this daycare eating lunch with my son and we decided to park and eat. Coincidentally, the children were outside enjoying the weather. I witnessed a very young child on what must be their pre-k side of the playground start to throw a tantrum and a worker walked over to her. Shook her 4 times violently and sat her down hard on the an outdoor toy. I immediately called the daycare to inform them and then watched as someone came to the door, laughed and talked with the woman and left. This must've been the "manager" I spoke to when I called. She did not handle anything and this woman might stop shaking children outdoors where people can see but I wouldn't trust her away from public eyes. She was wearing a teal shirt and a rainbow colored hair wrap. I do not have any reason to lie about this incident and would not trust these people with my children.

They really don’t know how to handle kids , they are understaffed and have different workers every other week. They always call to complain about your child after they receive their payment because they don’t have enough workers per room.The teachers are not trained well enough to handle the kids. If you have a stable job and a 3 year old this isn’t the best option. They don’t pay the kids any attention because it’s not that many teachers. They are nice to your face but that’s the only starts that they get. Also they claim to have a system where you can watch your child from your phone, well that never works and they don’t care to fix it.

My kids have been at this day care for over 5 years and I really appreciate all the staff there starting with Ms. Yolanda, Ms. Torrie , Ms. sherece Ms. Amber and Mr.james Is awesome as well he always make sure everything is well taking care of at the daycare this is a very safe fun place for kids. My kids gets sad on the weekends when they are closed, they wish the were open 24/7 I truly recommend it ❤️❤️

Honestly, My husband and I are the type of parents that are “was” afraid of the childcare situation, until I met the owner “James” and his wife “Daniela “, not only they make you feel like a part of a big family but that your kids just gain a new aunt & uncle, and let’s not forget the professionalisms not just from the owners but also the staff itself, my oldest son 3yr have been going there for about 1&1/2 month’s now and I truly struggle with potty training with him and with the awesome, amazing help of his teacher Ms.Nikki I have a potty trainer and learned how to spell his name, and I love the fact that today I received a compliment from her saying mom your doing a great job😊. I love it and now that my hours of work has change I am putting my youngest son 1yr old in there care worry free, thank you so much for the amazing job that you guys do over there, above and beyond and most importantly the professionalism. From my family to First step child care we love, appreciate, and thank you. 👏👏👏🙏❤️
