First St. Charles United Methodist First Kids

My son has been at First Kids since he was four months old and both we as parents and my son could not be happier. From day 1, they’ve taken such amazing care of my son. He loves his daycare friends and teachers so much and immediately lights up when we enter the classroom. The teachers and director are clearly knowledgeable about what they’re doing and they do it with such genuine love for the kids. As a first time parent, I was so anxious about returning to work and having my sons at daycare, but I haven’t felt that for a single day since he’s been at First Kids. The daycare is safe (double locked doors with code entry). We get timely updates on his activities, meals, potty, etc and multiple pictures throughout the day. Additionally, the staff are extremely quick to answer questions or respond to messages via their app. On top of all that, the staff are SO personable. From the get go, everyone knew my son’s name and my and my husband’s name, even if they aren’t our day-to-day contact. If I had to start all over, I would pick First Kids every time, no hesitation.

Our son received incredible care in the infant room so it was a no brainer to continue his care with First Kids! The teachers and administrators are the heart of this center. They are not only highly qualified but also incredibly nurturing, patient, and engaging. We receive regular updates, often including photos and detailed reports of their day (meals, naps, activities, etc.). I highly recommend First Kids Early Childhood Center!!!!

I've had both of my kids in the program from infancy and they love it! Not only is it fun and engaging for them, I know that they are learning from a structured curriculum that helps them grow in their faith and their life skills. As a parent, the security and communication helps me be able to check in on their activities throughout the day so even though I'm at work, I don't feel like I'm missing out on what their day is like

It was awesome for the one day my baby went there but on day 2 I arrived unexpectedly early and her bottle was propped up on blankets in her mouth (major choking hazard) with burp rags/blankets covering her face while her arms were swaddled down so she had no way to get them off. Staff was sitting down in rocking chairs on their cell phones while all the other children were asleep in cribs and did not notice my babies condition. Scary to think what would have happened had I not picked her up early that day. She has since been unenrolled. It could have been a one off event given that the first day went well but I’d encourage other parents to drop by unannounced to make sure! A refund of our tuition was provided, however to my knowledge the only action taken was for staff to be re-educated after I had asked they be assigned to a room with older kids instead or have cameras installed for the director to monitor for staff accountability. This place came highly recommended from a few people I know so this was majorly disappointing. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but when children’s safety is a factor other parents needs to know.

I am extremely satisfied with First Kids and their services. I have utilized the preschool for over twenty-five years. My youngest child attended and both my grandchildren have attended at different stages of the preschool. I have seen nothing but growth, not only in the children but in the school. The classrooms are up to date as well as the curriculum, my grand daughter just turned four and is already in a computer class. I would highly recommend First Kids to any one looking for loving care for there children because they will get nothing less. It’s exciting when you watch a child jump out of bed and say “I’ve got preschool today”.
