What Parents Say
Reviews are overwhelmingly positive about First Presbyterian Church Schools, with parents praising the caring staff, outdoor facilities, and welcoming environment. However, most reviews appear to focus on church services rather than daycare operations specifically. One parent reported feeling unwelcomed during a visit.
This church should be ashamed of charging $35 to park during the day!!! I was there for one hr and had to pay 35 dollars. This is not a church this is a business greedy for money. Please consider the economy we are in when deciding these prices.
Tina gave a phenomenal tour! It’s clear she genuinely cares about each and every child at the daycare. She took her time answering all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the visit. I love all the green areas for the kids and how often they get them out of the classroom.
Immensely enjoy the music and the ministers. Would love to have a copy of the sermon for today, November 3. Lovely solo, “Deep River” beautifully sung. Great worship experience for me today. Thank God. I needed it!
Predatory parking practices by preferred and the church. The lot entrance on N Poplar is very confusing as it lists hourly rates for parking, but then you are forced to pay $35 to exit as a non church goer. The entire lot between N Poplar and N Pine is managed by preferred (preferred signage everywhere) making you think it’s all the same lot. It’s not, so don’t be fooled. A section is only for the church. Not very Christian like of them price gouging the public. Had a 30 min meeting at 6pm nearby. A colleague and I had to pay $70 to exit when the sign lists $5 for a half hour of parking. They claim in previous reviews that they have to do this in order to have parking for their members. Understandably so, so why not just put a large sign saying Church Parking Only, to deter people from entering? Why would you have rates listed at the bottom of the sign making it seem as if it is a public parking option? Why not say no public parking on the sign? Oh yeah, that would cut down on the $$$ they are making off regular people just trying to find parking in Uptown. I watched 3 other people get trapped and have to pay $35 in the 30 mins I was in the lot. I can only image how much they make in a months time. It can’t be coincidental that myself, colleague and 3 other professional people parked in this lot illegally within a 30 min span and all were confused as to why the rate was different than what was listed on the signage. The signage is misleading, point blank. Do Better. Proverbs 21:6 A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.
We paid money and applied to have our son (who has a developmental disability) join this church’s preschool program. The director assured us after meeting him multiple times that he would be a good fit. We then were told that unless he has an ABA therapist attend classes with him every day that he cannot come. When we requested our application fee returned. We got no response. What a disappointment that this church can’t live out the gospel so close to home.
