Highly recommend First Church Early Learning Center! Both my daughters have gone there and learned so much. They not only have a great curriculum but they allow children to explore through hands on experience. The teachers are compassionate, diligent, educated and dedicated to bettering the children in their care. Thankful to have such a wonderful preschool in my town!

Do not recommend this place! My father and I had went to pick up my nephew and once someone opened the door, a skinny older woman accuses my dad and I, of leaving a child in the car outside in the heat. My dad and I were surprised, since we only had one child in the family (the nephew in the daycare) and explained there was no child in the car. This lady argues back, confident, saying she heard it from her office window. (There were at least 10 other cars in the parking lot.) We tell her she is free to go check outside for this child. We go back and forth with her, repeating there is no child in the car. Eventually, she realizes she made a mistake. Instead of apologizing for accusing us out of nowhere, she asks us for ID to pick up our nephew, which my dad retrieves from his car. Once we get inside and get my nephew, this lady decides to apologize. Let me mention, she does not try to look for this crying child after accusing us or do anything else about it. She goes back to watching the children in the daycare with another daycare worker like nothing happened. We are a black family so I'm not sure if she was targeting us but apparently that child was not important once she realized it wasn't us who abandoned them in a car.

So glad my child gets to go here! My kid loves her class and how what they learn is decided by the interests of the students. My child also loves her teachers both in her class and in the other classrooms that support her throughout the day. The director, Ms. Kate, was super helpful during the application process and welcomed our family warmly.

First Church has been one of the biggest blessings for my family. As a mom with a VERY active child, this facility has not only helped my son develop emotionally, they also have fostered his desire to learn. I have been highly impressed with the daily structures and the implemented curriculum as I have noted the growth in my child academically. The staff to student ratio is phenomenal, as it is nearly impossible to find small and intimate learning centers for 3–5-year-olds. My sons class has about 14 students to 2 teachers. I am so grateful for the small class sizes and all the patience the staff and administration have in working with my child. There is no better feeling as a parent then knowing that your child is well taken care of and that they enjoy their time at school. As an active parent I highly appreciate the consistent school to home communication from staff that keep me updated on how my child’s day is going. I look forward to my weekly pictures and blurb about what the class has done/learned over the course of the week. I could certainly go on about all the things I am grateful for in working with this program, but I’d be remiss if I did not touch on how helpful income-based tuition has been. In a society where childcare is so expensive, I am thankful for a program that not only charges reasonable tuition, but also goes above and beyond for the kiddos. I appreciate the FCELC staff for all they have done and continue to do 😊

What a nice facility, with beautiful grounds and space for exploring nestled in the heart of Windsor. With that said, IT ENDS THERE!!! It was so promising visiting the daycare with the organization of how things were and the layout of classrooms. Not to mention the convenience of how close it is to our home. We’ve since moved our kids to a further daycare... much further!! The staff (Mora) including the Director (Kate) seem incompetent when it comes to children. Almost as if they expect toddlers to be robots and perfect. Their policy and protocols are outdated and do not lend to working parents!! I’ve overheard conversations of teachers speaking about other kids and it was horrific to think of what they may say about our kids when ears aren’t around. They make excuses for why your children can’t come to school while willing accepting your payments! Refusing to assist your children in making sure they used the bathroom, complaining of kids coughing and not covering their mouths. Their understanding of toddlers and their patience to teach them are misaligned. Our money will be spent elsewhere!! It’s unfortunate that such a great facility is being misrepresented by staff. Some thing has to be done. So glad we’ve moved them!
