A great place to worship...go to 1045 service. The music is uplifting, spirit filled. Dr Mike Harder is a unique pastor with gifts of teaching, ministering and applying scripture to daily life and your renewed walk with our Father.
Went to 1045am service. Music and worship was so loud. If you hold on to the pew in front of you, you can feel it vibrate and shake. But the singing was awesome. Great talent. Church is alive and packed. Pastor's message was edifying and encouraging. "Use your suffering as a stage to glorify Jesus!"
I’m not giving them the satisfaction of praise they want. They treated me well once although they weren’t perfect. Now they don’t treat me well. It’s time to shine light on the bad in this organization/ church. I’ve been homeless off and on for many years and lately they don’t respond to my calls/ emails. I was standing in very hot weather and they knew and they left me outside. I was trying to get help from them. I asked for prayer different occasions and the staff won’t pray for what I ask them to pray for me about. They will pray about how they feel I need prayer for but they don’t know me enough to know my unique needs and desires. I keep feeling this strong feeling they are helping the needy to get praise. It doesn’t seem they care for the needy for real. I pray in Jesus name they change. God sees everything people.
I went for a Celebrate Recovery meeting and it was a blast! 6 pm there is a meal, worship, testimony/lesson, and 730 they have men and women small groups. Not just for addicts. This group just helps you follow Jesus and stop following your hurts, hang ups, and habits!
They serve food, showers, and clothes for the homeless on Sunday mornings. They have a couple of organizations to help them as well. I didn't like the church services, though. The few times I went up and listened, the pastor never read from the Bible. He just gave some feel-good speech, which is something God says stay away from. God's word must convict us, showing us our sin. God is love, yes, but he is also anger, jealous, wrath, and justice. We need the true gospel. The gospel given to Paul is what we live by. We can't give feel good services. We need to know the guilt that leads to asking God for forgiveness. We need to know why Christ died and that we are saved by God's grace through faith alone. No more feel-good speeches. Read from God's word and then talk about what was read.
