The church community is so loving and welcoming. The sincerity of caring is amazing. I was so appreciative of the true faith that is alive in this church.
LOVE THIS CHURCH!!!!!!!! Been attending and became a member in early 2025 after relocating here from the west coast. This church has everything for everybody. Excellent bible studies, fellowship groups, and activities & get-togethers for people of all ages. The teen youth group is HUGE! Everyone you meet is incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. Dr. Scott Wilson is the senior pastor and an EXCELLENT pastor/teacher - one of the best I've ever heard teach! Genuinely love the people I've met and become friends with. God is truly at work in this church! I always look forward to going to church during the week and on Sundays!!!
Our family loves attending church here, always friendly and you will learn more and more! Definitely recommend! Our kids love it also!
Amazing church! Lots of fun and learning for all ages. If I could give it 6 stars I would! Can't wait for the new building to be completed!
We have visited this church 4 times, and for us there are two items “needs improvement,” and one item that makes it completely worth it. For us, it is an hour’s dive one way to go, and that needs improvement. That’s our problem. ;-) The other thing which we hope is a matter of opportunity is that occasionally, the music is quite dated and surprising. I don’t mean that they sing traditional hymns: I mean that occasionally they sing songs which seem to be written in a pocket on time in the late 1970’s when evangelical churches were bad at writing pop music. Our hope is that this was only an occasional case of a local church with local favorite songs which we are unfamiliar with. However, these things very much fade into the background when you think about the content of the Sunday preaching at this church. My wife and I have recently moved to the Space Coast, and we are somewhat shocked at the quality of Sunday preaching at local, nominally-evangelical churches. Most of these churches do not present the scripture as the centerpiece of worship. They most often present a story about an experience which may or may not relate to a Christian principle. When we finally found FBC MEL and Dr. Wilson, we were greatly encouraged that someone here takes seriously the commission from Paul to Timothy to preach the word, in season and out of season. Dr. Wilson’s preaching is not wordy, nor worldly, nor is it too high brow. He preaches as a man of good faith to his people so that they will have good faith. He is human and godly. He is obviously kind and continuously thinking about what God’s word means to people today. My hope is that his work brings more people to faith in Christ and to a confidence in God’s word.
