Visited this church today with my son the sermon included the pastor preaching that women should be pastors. Had to walk out.
Welcoming congregation and traditional worship service. Very friendly people who work hard to minister to anyone who walks through the door. Sunday school at 9:30 followed by a traditional service at 11. We also have fellowship and Bible study in Wednesdays at 5:30.
First Baptist Church is a traditional, historical Baptist church which has beautiful music, an excellent pastor/preacher in Rev. Chris George, and wonderful, warm, intelligent people. The church believes in being Christ's hands and feet in their community and encouraging all in their walk of faith and service. It's motto is "Big enough to meet your needs and small enough to know your name."
