I feel genuinely blessed that my kids are able to attend Lakewood Christian. LCS is quite simply the greatest Christian school around! My kids have been going here since kindergarten and have grown up to be smart caring young adults and LCS figures heavily in their development both academically and socially. From top-to-bottom the staff is quite simply an All-Star team. The Principal is the most devoted woman you could ever want to oversee the welfare of your kids! The loving and caring teachers help to lay a strong foundation that allows the kids to succeed. Moreover the teachers form close-bonds with the students that you would never get at a public school. The staff is as courteous, helpful, and polite making the day-in and day-out happenings flow like a smooth river. The school functions like a close-knit community and we absolutely love it! From an academics standpoint; Saxon Math and ABeka Language make up the core curriculum so there is no need to worry about the issues associated with Common Core. From a Fine Arts perspective, LCS offers many outlets to further my child’s growth and they take part in as many activities as possible including Band, Choir, Drama, and so on. Last but certainly not least is the Athletics program. LCS is part of the Christian Athletic League and offers sports that include: Basketball, Volleyball, and Flag Football. And yes we take part in all the extra-curricular activities . The wife and have worked really hard to allow our 2 kids to attend Lakewood Christian, but you cannot put a price on the feeling you get when you see a child flourish in such a wonderful environment. I strongly urge anyone remotely interested in LCS to schedule a quick tour to see what a great institution this school truly is.
