I took my wife and two daughters here because the church we tried to go to in Hillsville was closed due to cold weather... The church was big and nice, and the people we met seemed friendly. The pastor preached a good message, but the music was very traditional. We expected a little bit of contemporary music in a church of this size, but we're disappointed. That said, Very traditional music straight out of the old hymn books seems to be the norm in this area... very disappointing when you have teenaged kids that are desperately looking for a way to connect to a church family and God.
If you're looking for the WORD of God then Pastor Kevin will absolutely not disappoint. From day one my family and I felt at home here. People are very welcoming, beautiful church and lots of children/youth activities. Please join us at 9:45 for Sunday school and service at 11:00.

Well I have never been to first Baptist ...Sam lives across from me he has ask me many times Keith you and your wife please come and join us.I do absolutely believe in Jesus christ. I promise Sam that are going to attend I am excited about being with everyone to join in the word of God.. see you there.
