My personal experience with this daycare is amazing! I have absolutely no worries with dropping my child off daily because I l know he’s in great hands. Very clean facility! He doesn’t get sick hardly at all compared to other daycare we used in the past. The director and assistant director are a pleasure to work with. All the employees that care for the children are amazing! Great communication between staff and parent via the app used by the faculty. They don’t bend the rules to favor one over another, they follow the rules outlined by the state on point! Our son has grown and learned so much since we started him here. It was a blessing to get him a spot when there was an opening. I highly recommend trusting your little one with this daycare!
This is a great place to send your kids. I saw on Facebook someone was trying to attack this place and sending people to leave bad reviews which is crazy. The new management has done a great job & we've had no problems with them. Don't believe everything you read because some of these reviews are really just the product of someone's personal Facebook vendetta.
Personally, I have had a wonderful experience with CDC Gilmer. The facility always smells nice and is clean, which is big based on experiences with other centers I have encountered. The rooms are all nicely decorated! The atmosphere and staff are always upbeat and positive. My 3 year old was always happy to be there and loved her teacher, Miss Destiny. The admissions process was quick and easy. The office worker, Jeanine, and director, Jerica were amazing. Both very professional and a pleasure to speak with, and both had great communication with me about my child daily. I always felt my child was in a safe and loving environment. The overall atmosphere of the child development center took a turn for the better when the new director to charge. The change was refreshing. The only downside I could possibly think of is occasional staffing issues. I cannot rave on this facility enough!
I'll keep this short due to more action being taken on this matter. I want to express our concern and disappointment regarding the care provided by FBC Gilmer Child Development Center. My son was enrolled on August 13th, and within a short span, he was bitten twice and sustained 2 different eye injuries. The center's communication regarding the incidents were complacent and at times dismissive. It was only through diligent inquiry on our end that we were able to obtain more details of the first biting incident. I am worried by the center's apparent lack of concern for my son's or any child his age who can not speak for them selve’s welfare. Their failure to report the second bite and the eye injuries in person or on the app even after communicating concerns before they happened. As a parent, it is distressing to entrust your child to a facility that shows such an unorganized leadership and careless attitude towards the care of your children. I strongly caution against utilizing this center for your kids because we have seen they lack the urgency required to care for small children.
Please don’t bring your children here!! ADMIN ARE LAZY! My child was constantly being sent home in a different outfit than she came with after talking to a few employees I find out they are short staffed and admin doesn’t help with bring kids in from playground to go potty so kids have no other choice but to potty on themselves. Admin are more worried about employees being on their phone during their break but you have the Director on FaceTime with her boyfriend all day long. The Director apparently had a relationship with a parent and at some point threatened to suspend care for that child. The admin at this daycare are very unprofessional and want to lead without leading their employees.
