What Parents Say
Parents praise the daycare's experienced leadership under Donna, who has run the school for over 25 years, and commend the caring, family-like teaching staff. The facility is described as warm, welcoming, and trustworthy. One former attendee raised concerns about racial discrimination.
I have referred a young lady to come to Lydia’s Prom Closet to search for a dress for her senior prom. I stopped by to check it out for myself. I received a warm welcome when I entered the room. There were so many dresses, shoes, purses, and accessories. Everything was hung and presented so beautifully! It was a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived until I walked out the door.
After reading the negative review posted by a former employee I felt compelled to tell my story regarding FBCH. My wife and I started attending this church in 2019 shortly after moving to Huntersville. This was right before the pandemic so initially it was a struggle to get to know folks but we pressed on and have found this to be a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is a very community centered organization providing services like Lydia's Loft, Prom Closet and summer Saturday breakfasts. There are multiple opportunities for bible study and to find an area where your talents can be used to serve others. I was previously a long time member of Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, arguably one of the most liberal churches around when it comes to social justice. I can assure anyone that I would not join a church that I felt had racist tendency. All I can say is come find out for yourself.
Think twice before going to this church because if you are from a different race other than Caucasian you will not be treated the same by a lot of people (read between the lines). I am doing my own review because I gave a thumbs up for another review that described exactly what I’m talking about and for some reason you cannot see that review anymore. So please be aware of this when you are choosing a church. And remember racism can be anywhere in this world, it doesn’t matter if it’s pastors, or in the pews or in public life… it can be anywhere.
Our daughter has gone here for 2 years now and the teachers are phenomenal!!! Donna has ran the school for over 25 years now and has the biggest heart. I trust my child’s safety so much everyday when I drop her off and will be bringing my other daughter here when she’s old enough! Love this school!
The congregation is warm and loving. The support I received after my brother's murder helped carry me thru a horrible experience.
