I've been visiting Family Service Association for about 7 years now for mental health issues. The staff are all very personable, friendly and professional. I've had the same therapist for the entire duration. She is wonderful. I can talk to her openly and honestly and it feels like I'm talking to an old friend. She listens and doesn't judge and gives me advice in all aspects of my life. As far as the psychiatry side, that is a different story, hence the 4 stars. We are seen by nurse practitioners who are overseen by one psychiatrist(for all the patients). Throughout the years I have been switched to a different nurse practitioner several times. That means going through the intake process and telling my story several times which is very difficult for me. I am a victim of domestic violence and do not like to relive it. Also that means sometimes they want to change my meds which is also a difficult process. That's the one thing they need to work on is keeping clients and nurse practitioners together. Other than that I highly recommend Family Services for your mental health needs.
I was contacted by this association because i needed help finding a therapist. They hooked me up with some little girl who said she was going to help but dropped me like a hot potato. Stopped calling and I couldn't get ahold of her. I finally got a hold of the first lady who contacted me. There was nothing she could do. Do yourself a favor and don't expect any help from this place.
Do not use the reppayee program through this agency. The caseworker Stacey is very rude and talks down to you. They never answered their phones and you receive no statement of what you in your account. You are not allowed to go to the business location. You pay for their service and are treated as if they are doing you a favor. Then if you stop using their service and you have money left in your account it takes several months for them to return what is owed to you. Not recommend at all.
No contact will my person in charge of my bills. Never returns phone calls emails. This place is a joke charging $52.00 a month not even get your bills on time!!
