There is no glass on windows, only screen and metal plates. The indoor is very humid and there is no barrier for noise outside. Later night there were adult shouting and kids crying. There are lots of roosters crowing to disturb our sleep.
I grew up there in building F on the first floor. My aunt Juanita lived across the street in the housing projects. I do plan on moving back and hope there’s a vacancy available. So many memories playing in the basketball court across the street.
Bigger rooms than roosevelt but no parking either! High ceilings!
PEOPLE LIVE HERE. AQUI VIVE GENTE. PUERTA DE TIERRA NO SE VENDE. WE DONT WANT TOURIST OR GRINGOS MESSING WITH THE PEACE AND COMPLAINING ABOUT US THE RESIDENTS AND LOCALS OF THE EL FALANSTERIO. NO airbnbs are welcome since this is a condominium for the local people who come home everyday after work and just want peace and not be worried about being gentrified or displaced.
El Falansterio is unique worldwide. Honest. It is not located in 206 O'Donnell Street, though. Its actual address is located at Fernández Juncos Avenue in Puerta de Tierra neighborhood, between Matias Ledesma and Raphy Leavitt streets.
