My daughter attends EDCC and absolutely loves it. The teachers here are beyond amazing. I’ve never had anything other than positive interactions with all staff members. Every day my daughter wants to be the first to arrive and the last to leave, she hasn’t had a bad day yet. They do so many activities with the kids and create a great balance of play and keeping them entertained with educational activities. I could go on and on about how much we love this program. If your child is lucky enough to get in, you should consider yourself blessed to have quality affordable childcare.
I am seeing I am one of the anomaly in the review community here for EDCC, with my 5 star ratings. But followings are my justification for it. 1. My 5 year old has been going here for last 1 year or so, and he absolutely loves going here, he even loves it more than his kindergarten class. For me, this is probably the most justifying reason to give EDCC a good review. 2. Every time I interact with the staff here, I have excellent experience. Ms. Fresta and Ms. Abby (forgive me if I misspelled their names), are excellent and very responsive with all the requests. 3. I see kids who go here , come out at the end of day, all happy and jumpy, which tells me EDCC is doing an excellent job, managing the kids and keeping them happy. They might have a smaller space than they should have, and I can see when it’s raining outside, it can become crammed with so many kids, but I don’t think I should hold this against them. The staff here do absolutely best with the facilities they have.
This is more like a prison and not an after school child care. Their policy on electronics won’t let your child wear a watch. Multiple requests pointing to safety concerns and child wellbeing were rejected and they still won’t let my kid wear a watch. After all these conversations the director told us ‘maybe this is not a place for us’. As you can see very friendly and polite staff at EDCC. Oh, and they won’t let your kids eat lunchables. They say those are sweets and not allowed at EDCC. I wonder what would happen if my kid brought a chocolate candy. Would they call the cops on him?
My son was at EDDC for a year. He didn’t seem to like it since the beginning. EDDC website states that they work with kids with special needs. Yet at the first sign that my son needed some extra support he was let go without any warning. Got there one day to pick him up and found out that was his last day. They stated that EDDC was not a good fit for him. EDCC staff seems to not be properly trained.
